Following the Regeneration Conference last week, the Isle of Wight Council has announced the next series of discussions to be held across the Island.
The council has launched a draft Regeneration Strategy to ensure the Island becomes an inspiring place to grow up, live, work and visit. The strategy was launched at the second annual Regeneration Conference at Lakeside, Wootton last week; following a year of meetings all around the Isle of Wight.
Discussions about the new draft strategy now continues online with a web consultation which invites everyone to express their views about the way the Island should be improved for the future.
The next series of discussion meetings will take place this September, with 5 events in different areas of the Island.
Reniera O’Donnell, assistant director of regeneration, said:
“We have had a lot of input in making the draft strategy, and now it’s time to get real – we want to engage businesses, organisations and people across the Island in how these ideas are turned into reality.
“There are a few weeks for people to read the new strategy and then the next round of discussions will help us agree our Regeneration Strategy until 2030.”
