Police have closed access to a beach near Ryde this evening (Sunday) as officers respond to an ongoing incident.
Officers are currently in attendance at Players Beach in Binstead – situated between Fishbourne and Ryde.
It’s here that they have cordoned off the access path to the popular, but secluded, beach.
Detectives from Newport CID are on scene.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary have been approached for a statement.
