Up to 30 cask ales, including beers from China, Singapore, Ukraine, the USA and Denmark, will be available for just £2.9 a pint at 2 Isle of Wight Wetherspoon pubs next month.
S. Fowler & Co. in Union Street, Ryde, and The Man in the Moon in St James Street, Newport, will take part in a 12-day beer festival from Wednesday 7th to Sunday 18th October.
It will be the first time the pubs have served cask ales from Singapore and Ukraine.
Most of the beers included in the festival have been brewed for the first time specifically for the event, with 5 vegan options also among the selection.
A range of different malt and hop varieties will feature, while some beers will include ingredients such as coconut, coriander, mango and tea.
International ales on offer will include Urbrew Oolong ESB from China, Mikkeller English Dream Pilsner from Denmark, Lion Mango IPA from Singapore, Varvar Session Golden Ale from Ukraine and UPP Liquids Pinball Wizard from the USA.
Other beers due to feature include Cairngorm Autumn Nuts, Otter Reggae, Loch Lomond Flying South, Oakham Dressed to Impress and Exmoor Red.
All festival beers will be priced at £2.99 a pint, while customers will also be able to buy 3 third-of-a-pint tasters for the same price.
Steven Newby, manager of S. Fowler & Co., said:
“The festival is a great celebration of cask ale.
“It will allow us to showcase a selection of superb beers, featuring many not previously available to our customers in the pub, including those from brewers as far afield as China and Ukraine, as well as those closer to home, over a 12-day period.
“All of the beers will be available at great value-for-money prices.”
Tasting notes for the beers will be available in both pubs as part of the festival magazine, with a digital version also available through the Wetherspoon app and website.
The ales can be ordered at the bar or through the Wetherspoon app.
