TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDERS

Date effective: Friday 14th August 2018

Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to
make the following Orders: –

• The Isle of Wight Council (Royal Exchange, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic)) Order No 2 2018
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours on Wednesday 26th September 2018 until 1630 hours on Monday 01st October 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Royal Exchange, from between its junctions with Furrlongs and Barton Road. The alternative route is Furrlongs, Staplers Road, St Georges Way and Barton Road. The restriction is required for Southern Gas Networks New Connection.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Royal Exchange, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Revocation of One- Way Restriction) Order No 1 2018
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours on Wednesday 26th September 2018 until 1630 hours on Monday 01st October 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, the one-way restriction in Royal Exchange will be temporarily revoked from its junction with Furrlongs to its junction with Barton Road. The revocation is required to allow access to premises and businesses whilst Southern Gas Works are undertaken.

• The Isle of Wight Council (B310 Haseley Bridge, Rights of Way Path A53, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic)) Order No 1 2018
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0700 hours on Monday 24th September 2018 until 1700 hours on Friday 30th November 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any walker, cyclist or horserider to proceed along B310 Haseley Bridge, from between its junctions with Hale Common and Shepherds Lane. The alternative route is Hale Common, Heasley Lane and Shepherds Lane. The restriction is required for deck replacement and scour protection measures.

• The Isle of Wight Council (West Street, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic)) Order No 7 2018
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 hours on Monday 24th September 2018 until 1700 hours on Friday 05th October 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along West Street, from between its junctions with Queens Road and Argyll Street. The alternative route is Argyll Street, Green Street, St Johns Road, Bennett Street, Park Road, George Street, Melville Street, High Street, Garfield Road, Victoria Street and John Street. The restriction is required for Southern Water Mains Connections.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 0630 hours and 1800 hours on approximately 5 to 10 days, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner; that no vehicle or person may use, or cause any animal to use the following roads; and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road where indicated by traffic signs.

The closures are for carriageway and footway repairs, resurfacing, drainage works, verge maintenance and kerbing works between Friday 21st September 2018 and Friday 2nd November 2018. It
may be necessary to close this section of road on more than one occasion within this timeframe. The exact dates of the works will be confirmed on the Island Roads website at www.islandroads.com or ring on 01983 822440:

• The Isle of Wight Council (Mersley Lane, Newchurch, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 4 2018 – Mersley Lane will be closed between its junctions with Lime Kiln Shute and Knighton Lane. The alternative route is Knighton Lane, Knighton Shute, The Downs Road, Lime Kiln Shute.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Fort Street, Sandown, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 3 2018 – Fort Street will be closed between its junctions with Avenue Road and Culver Parade. The alternative route is Avenue Road and Culver Parade.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Chale Green, Chale, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2018 – Chale Green will be closed between its junctions with Chale
Street and Appleford Lane. The alternative route is Newman Lane, Chale Lane and Town Lane.

Notice is hereby given that the following Orders have been made under Section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847:-

• The Isle of Wight Council (North Walk, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary One-Way Restriction) Order No 1 2018
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for periods between 0700 and 1800 hours on Sunday 16th September 2018 or when the event is finished, whichever is the sooner, the Isle of Wight Council will introduce a one-way restriction along North Walk from between its junctions with Esplanade and Appley Rise. This order is required in the interests of road safety during the Classic Car Extravaganza Special Event. Diversion will be signed locally.

• The Isle of Wight Council (North Walk, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic)) Order No 1 2018
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for periods between 0700 and 1800 hours on Sunday 16th September 2018 or when the event is finished, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any non-event related vehicle to stop along North Walk; between its junctions with Esplanade to the Canoe Lake along North Walk. The order is required for safety during the Classic Car Extravaganza Special Event. The diversion will be signposted locally.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Newport Quay, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2018
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for periods between 0700 and 1800 hours on Saturday 15th September 2018 or when the event is finished, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any non-event related vehicle to stop along Newport Quay; between its junctions with Seaclose Park to its junction with Hillside. The order is required for safety during the Charity Classic Car Show Event. The diversion will be signposted locally.

Notice is hereby given that the following Orders have been made under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984: –

• The Isle of Wight Council (Upton Road, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 6 2018
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0930 hours on Friday 14th September 2018 until 1530 hours on Friday 28th September 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Upton Road, from between its junctions with Bettesworth Road and Corbett Road. The alternative route is Upton Road in a northerly direction, Pellhurst Road, Partlands Avenue, Ashey Road and Bettesworth Road. The restriction is required for the completion of carriageway works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Ratcliffe Avenue, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 3 2018
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 hours on Monday 17th September 2018 until 1700 hours on Friday 28th September 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Ratcliffe Avenue, from between its junctions with West Street and Pellhurst Road. The alternative route is Pellhurst Road, Upton Road and Swanmore Road. The restriction is required for Southern Water Mains renewal works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Bembridge House Path, Bembridge, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 2 2018
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 hours on Monday 17th September 2018 until 1600 hours on Friday 28th September 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Bembridge House Path, from between its junctions with Grange Gardens and High Street. The alternative route is High Street and Grange Gardens. The restriction is required for repairs to brick carriageway.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Shide Path Cycle Track, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 1 2018
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours on Monday 17th September 2018 until 1700 hours on Friday 05th October 2018 (Including overnight), or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Shide Path Cycle Track, from between its junctions with Shide Path, Shide to St Georges Approach (Medina Avenue). The alternative route is St Georges Approach, Medina Avenue and Shide Road. The restriction is required for safety of path users during footbridge replacement works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (High Street, Carisbrooke, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 2 2018
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours on Monday 17th September 2018 until 1700 hours on Wednesday 19 September 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along High Street, from between its junctions with Priory Road and School Lane. The alternative route is Priory Road, Forest Road, Yarmouth Road, Elm Lane, Gustars Shute and Calbourne Road. The restriction is required for Southern Gas Networks to install a new connection.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Commonwood Lane, Bembridge, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 1 2018
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0930 hours on Monday 17th September 2018 until 1530 hours on Wednesday 18th September 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Commonwood Lane, from between its junctions with Sandown Road and Hillway Road. The alternative route is Sandown Road, and Hillway Road. The restriction is required for BT to access underground structure for new connection.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Bagwich Lane, Godshill, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 1 2018
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 hours on Monday 17th September 2018 until 1600 hours on Wednesday 28th September 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Bagwich Lane, from between its junctions with Beacon Alley and Chestnut Farm. The alternative route is Beacon Alley, Niton Road and Bagwich Lane. The restriction is required for a new water main, in connection with Section 50 agreement.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Shanklin, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 7 2018
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours on Monday 17th September 2018 until 1800 hours on Friday 24th May 2019, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along 1) Arthurs Hill, from between its junctions with Avenue Road and Wilton Park Road; 2) Wilton Park Road, from between its junctions with Arthurs Hill and Wilton Road; 3) St Boniface Cliff Road, from between its junctions with Arthurs Hill and 50mtrs east thereof; 4) Avenue Road, from between its junctions with Arthurs Hill and 20mtrs west thereof. The alternative route for 1) Wilton Park Road and Atherley Road; 2) Arthurs Hill, Atherley Road and Wilton Park Road; 3) St Martins and North Cliff Gardens; 4) Atherley Road and Wilton Park Road. The restriction is required for Southern Water to excavate and divert existing apparatus and installation of new sewer.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Shanklin, Isle of Wight) (Temporary No Waiting at Any Time Restriction) Order No 1 2018
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for periods between 0800 on the Monday 17th September 2018 until 1800 hours on Friday 24th May 2019 or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, the Isle of Wight Council will introduce a no waiting at any time parking restriction on the following lengths of road; St Martins Avenue on the north side from its junction with Arthurs Hill to its junction with Northcliff Gardens; St Boniface Cliff Road on the south side from its junction with Arthurs Hill to its junction with Northcliff Gardens and on the northside from property number 12 to outside property number 2; Sandown Road on the west side for a distance of 15mtrs in a northerly direction to a point 15mtrs in a southerly direction from junction with Winchester House Car Park entrance. The order is required for safety during Southern Water improvement works.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 0630 hours and 1800 hours on approximately 5 to 10 days, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner; that no vehicle or person may use, or cause any animal to use the following roads; and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road where indicated by traffic signs.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Solent View Road, Gurnard, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2018 – Solent View Road will be closed between its junctions with Worsley Road and Marsh Road. The alternative route is Worsley Road, Church Road, Cockleton Lane and Lower Church Road.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Mill Road, Bembridge, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2018 – Mill Road will be closed between its junctions with High Street and Steyne Road including roundabout. The alternative route is High Street, Church Road, Sherbourne Street, Foreland Road and Steyne Road.
