TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDERS

Date effective: Friday 22nd May 2020

Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following Orders: –

• The Isle of Wight Council (Brook Road, Shanklin, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 2 2020

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Monday 1 June 2020 until Friday 5 June 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along Brook Road between a) 0800 and 1800 between its junctions with Hyde Road and Carter Avenue and b) 1830 and 0600 hours between its junctions with Carter Avenue and Collingwood Road. The alternative route will be sign posted locally. The closure is required for safety during fibre utility works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Forest Road, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary One-Way Restriction) Order No 1 2020

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from approx. 0001 on Monday 1 June 2020, for a period of 18 months, or when the works have been completed, a one-way restriction will be introduced along Forest Road, from its junction with Hampshire Crescent to its junctions with Whitesmith Road, in a west to east direction. On-street signage will depict the exact length of the restriction as the works progress. The restriction is required for safety during junction improvement works on St Marys roundabout site.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Carisbrooke Road, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary No Waiting at Any Time Parking Restriction) Order No 1 2020

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from approx. 0001 hours on Monday 1 June 2020, for a period of 18 months, or when the works have been completed, a ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ parking restriction will be introduced along Carisbrooke Road, on the south-east side, from a point 13 metres south-west to a point 120 metres south-west of its junction with Recreation Ground Road. The restriction is required because of the likelihood of danger to the public due to traffic on the signed diversion route for the St Mary’s junction improvement works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (High Street, Shanklin, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2020

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 1900 hours on Wednesday 3 June 2020 until 0600 hours on Saturday 6 June 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along High Street between its junctions with Orchardleigh Road and Victoria Avenue. The alternative route will be sign posted locally. The closure is required for safety during fibre utility works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Landguard Manor Road, Shanklin, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2020

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 1900 hours on Monday 1 June 2020 until 0600 hours on Wednesday 3 June 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along Landguard Manor Road between its junctions with Green Lane and Donnington Drive. • The Isle of Wight Council (Warlands Lane, Shalfleet, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 2 2020

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 0800 and 1600 hours each day, from Monday 1 June 2020 until Friday 5 June 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along Warlands Lane between its junctions with Station Road and the access to Lower Dodpits Farm. • The Isle of Wight Council (North Street, Brighstone, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2020

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0600 and 2200 hours, from Monday 1 June 2020 until Wednesday 3 June 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along North Street, for its entire length. • The Isle of Wight Council (Queens Road, Shanklin, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2020

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0600 and 2200, from Wednesday 3 June 2020 until Friday 5 June 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along Queens Road between its junctions with Clarendon Road and Crescent Road. • The Isle of Wight Council (Great Preston Road, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2020

• The Isle of Wight Council (Pump Lane, Calbourne, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 2 2020

• The Isle of Wight Council (Quarry Road, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2020

• The Isle of Wight Council (Pyle Street, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 3 2020

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0600 and 2200 hours, from Wednesday 3 June 2020 until Friday 5 June 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along Pyle Street, between its junctions with St James Street and Carisbrooke Road. • The Isle of Wight Council (Howgate Road, Bembridge, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 2 2020

• The Isle of Wight Council (Prospect Road, Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2020

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0600 and 2200 hours, from Wednesday 3 June 2020 until Friday 5 June 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along Prospect Road, for its entire length. • The Isle of Wight Council (Upper Road, Brading, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 2 2020

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0600 and 2200 hours, from Monday 1 June 2020 until Wednesday 3 June 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along Upper Road, between its junctions with Brading Down Road and Lower Adgestone Road. • The Isle of Wight Council (Merstone Lane, Godshill, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 2 2020

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0600 and 2200 hours, from Monday 1 June 2020 until Wednesday 3 June 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along Merstone Lane, between its junctions with Newport Road and Bury Lane. • The Isle of Wight Council (Doctors Lane, Brading, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2020

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0600 and 2200 hours, from Monday 1 June 2020 until Wednesday 3 June 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along Doctors Lane, between its junctions with Kyngs Close and West Street. • The Isle of Wight Council (Quay Lane, Brading, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2020

• The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Newchurch, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2020

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0600 and 2200 hours, from Monday 1 June 2020 until Wednesday 3 June 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along a) Alverstone Shute, between its junctions with Main Road and Youngwoods Way and b) Main Road, between its junctions with Alverstone Shute and Kern Lane. • The Isle of Wight Council (Apse Manor Road, Shanklin, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2020

• The Isle of Wight Council (Milligan Road, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2020

• The Isle of Wight Council (Copse Lane, Freshwater, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 5 2020

• The Isle of Wight Council (Dennett Road, Bembridge, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2020

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0600 and 2200 hours, from Wednesday 3 June 2020 until Friday 5 June 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along Dennett Road, for its entire length. There is no alternative route. The closure is required for safety during carriageway repairs.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Beachfield Road, Sandown, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2020

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0600 and 2200 hours, from Friday 29 May 2020 until Monday 1 June 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along Beachfield Road, between its junctions with Royal Street and Royal Crescent. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during carriageway repairs.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Friday 29 May 2020 and Friday 24 July 2020 the following roads will be closed for both day and night for a period of approximately 8 weeks to enable the next planned programme of road reconstruction to be completed.  No vehicle or person may use or cause any animal to use the following roads; and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road where indicated by traffic signs.

These works may include carriageway and footway reconstruction, resurfacing, drainage works, verge maintenance and kerbing works.  In some cases, it may be necessary to close these sections of roads on more than one occasion within this timeframe. Exact dates, durations and access information will be communicated to affected businesses and residents via letter and advanced warning signs before the scheme commences:

• The Isle of Wight Council (Royal Exchange, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 2 2020 – Royal Exchange will be closed between its junctions with School Lane and Furrlongs. The alternative route will be signposted locally

• The Isle of Wight Council (Cadets Walk, East Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 2 2020 – Cadets Walk will be closed between its junctions with Kingstone Road and College Way. The alternative route will be signposted locally

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 1830 hours and 0600 hours on approximately 5 to 10 nights, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner; that no vehicle or person may use, or cause any animal to use the following roads; and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road where indicated by traffic signs.

The closures are for carriageway and footway repairs, resurfacing, drainage works, verge maintenance and kerbing works between Friday 29 May 2020 and Friday 24 July 2020. Exact dates, durations and access information will be communicated to affected businesses and residents via letter and advanced warning signs before the scheme commences. It may be necessary to close this section of road on more than one occasion within this timeframe:

• The Isle of Wight Council (Rowborough Lane, Brading, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 2 2020 – Rowborough Lane be closed between its junctions with Coach Lane and Carpenters Road. The alternative route will be signposted locally

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for three shifts between approx. 0600 and 2200 hours from Tuesday 26 May 2020 until Friday 29 May 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along Whitcombe Road between its junctions with Sandy Lane and Froglands Lane. The alternative route will be sign posted locally. The closure is required for safety during kerb works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Longhalves Lane, Freshwater, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic, Pedestrians and Cyclists) Order No 1 2020

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for two shifts between approx. 0800 and 1600 hours, from Wednesday 27 May 2020 until Friday 29 May 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along Longhalves Lane between its junctions with Bannermans Path and Collards Close Path. The alternative route will be sign posted locally. The closure is required for safety during footway and drainage works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Gunville West, Carisbrooke, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2020

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one shift, between approx. 0600 and 2200 hours from Tuesday 26 May 2020 until Thursday 28 May 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along Gunville West, for its entire length. There is no alternative route, but access will be maintained when possible. The closure is required for safety during carriageway repairs.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Marvel Lane, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 2 2020

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for two shifts between approx. 0600 and 2200 hours from Tuesday 26 May 2020 until Friday 29 May 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along Marvel Lane between its junctions with Copse Lane and Watergate Road. The alternative route will be sign posted locally. The closure is required for safety during drainage works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Newnham Road, Binstead, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2020

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between approx. 0930 and  hours from Tuesday 26 May 2020 until Thursday 28 May 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along Newnham Road between its junctions with Ryde Bridleway 38 and Newnham Lane. The alternative route will be sign posted locally. The closure is required for safety during carriageway repairs.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Pell Lane, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 4 2020

• The Isle of Wight Council (Partlands Avenue, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 3 2020

• The Isle of Wight Council (St Johns Road, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2020

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for two nights between approx. 1930 and 0600 hours from Friday 22 May 2020 until Friday 3 July 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along St Johns Road between its junctions with Benett Street and Monkton Street. • The Isle of Wight Council (Daniel Street, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Revocation of One-Way Restriction) Order No 2 2020

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for two nights between approx. 1930 and 0600 hours from Friday 22 May 2020 until Friday 3 July 2020, or when the works have been completed, the one-way restriction will be revoked along Daniel Street between its junctions with St Johns Road and Park Road. The alternative route will be sign posted locally. The revocation is required to allow access to premises and businesses during high friction surfacing works located on St Johns Road.
