TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDERS

Date effective: Friday 16th November 2018

Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following Orders: –

• The Isle of Wight Council (Burnt House Lane, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 3 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day from approx. 0900 hours until 1600 hours between Monday 26 November 2018 and Wednesday 28 November 2018, or until the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along Burnt House Lane, between its junctions with Downend Road and Pan Lane. The alternative route will be signposted on-street. The restriction is required for trench repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Longwood Lane and Golf Links Road, Sandown, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day from approx. 0900 hours until 1600 hours between Monday 26 November 2018 and Wednesday 28 November 2018, or until the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along Longwood Lane and Golf Links Road, between its junctions with Lower Road and The Fairway. The alternative route will be signposted on-street. The restriction is required for carriageway repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Shamblers Road, Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day from approx. 0900 hours until 1600 hours between Monday 26 November 2018 and Wednesday 28 November 2018, or until the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along Shamblers Road, between its junctions with Mill Road and Arnold Road. The alternative route will be signposted on-street. The restriction is required for carriageway repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Castle Street, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 2 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day from approx. 0900 hours until 1600 hours between Wednesday 28 November 2018 and Friday 30 November, or until the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along Castle Street, between its junctions with High Street and Millers Lane. There is no alternative route. The restriction is required for carriageway repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Pine Tree Close, Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day from approx. 0900 hours until 1600 hours between Wednesday 28 November 2018 and Friday 30 November 2018, or until the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along Pine Tree Close, between its junctions with Baring Road to the end of the highway. There is no alternative route. The restriction is required for carriageway repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Pan Lane, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 5 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for two days between 0001 hours on Friday 23 November 2018 and Friday 11 January 2019, or until the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along Pan Lane, between its junctions with the Pan Garage entrance and Godric Road. The alternative route is Furrlongs and St Georges Way and Godric Road. The restriction is required whilst carriageway improvement works are undertaken.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Calbourne Road, Carisbrooke, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from approx. 0930 hours on Monday 3 December 2018 until approx. 1600 hours on Friday 7 December 2018, or until the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along Calbourne Road, between its junctions with Alvington Road and Alvington Manor Farm entrance. The alternative route is Priory Road, Gunville Road, Forest Road, Yarmouth Road and A3054, Thorley Road, Wilmingham Lane, B3399, B3401. The restriction is required for utility connection works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (High Street, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 5 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from approx. 0900 hours on Monday 26 November until approx. 1700 hours on Wednesday 28 November 2018, or until the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along High Street, between its junctions with Green Street and Well Street. The alternative route is Swanmore Road, West Street and Green Street. The restriction is required for utility main renewal works.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 1830 hours and 0600 hours on approximately 5 to 10 nights, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner; that no vehicle or person may use, or cause any animal to use the following roads; and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road where indicated by traffic signs.

The closures are for carriageway and footway repairs, resurfacing, drainage works, verge maintenance and kerbing works between Friday 23 November 2018 and Friday 18 January 2019. It may be necessary to close this section of road on more than one occasion within this timeframe.  The exact dates of the works will be confirmed on the Island Roads website at www.islandroads.com or ring on 01983 822440:

• The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Cowes) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic and Parking Restrictions) Order No 6 2018 – Park Road, Terminus Road and Carvel Lane will be closed between its junctions with Ward Avenue and High Street. There is no alternative route.

Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 21 of the Town Police Clause Act 1847, proposes to make the following Orders: –

• The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 7 2018

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that on Saturday 24 November between 1745 hours and 1930 hours, or when the event has finished, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any non-event related vehicle to proceed along Furrlongs, South Street, St James Street, Trafalgar Road, Carisbrooke Road, High Street and Quay Street. The closure is required for safety during the Newport Winter Carnival Procession. The diversion will be signposted locally.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Orchard Close, Freshwater, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0900 hours and 1600 hours from Monday 19 November 2018 until Wednesday 21 November 2018, or until the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along Orchard Close, for its entire length. There is no alternative route. The restriction is required for carriageway works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Bridge Road, East Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0900 hours and 1600 hours from Monday 19 November 2018 until Wednesday 21 November 2018, or until the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along Bridge Road, between its junctions with Ferry Road to the end of the highway. There is no alternative route. The restriction is required for the carriageway repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Green Street, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 4 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0700 hours until 1700 hours on Monday 19 November 2018, or until the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along Green Street, between its junctions with High Street and Station Street. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The restriction is required for utility works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Bath Road, Ventnor, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0900 and 1600 hours from Tuesday 20 November 2018 and Thursday 22 November 2018, or until the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along Bath Road, between its junctions with Belgrave Road and Esplanade. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The restriction is required for vegetation clearance works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Upper Road, Brading, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 5 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for two day between 0900 and 1600 hours from Monday 19 November 2018 and Wednesday 21 November 2018, or until the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along Upper Road, between its junctions with Bullys Hill and Sheep Lane. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The restriction is required for layby repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Terrace Road, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 1930 and 2300 hours from Tuesday 20 November 2018 and Thursday 22 November 2018, or until the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along Terrace Road, between its junctions with St Johns Road to the end of the highway. There is no alternative route. The restriction is required for carriageway repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Stenbury View, Wroxall, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0900 and 1600 hours from Wednesday 21 November 2018 and Friday 23 November 2018, or until the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along Stenbury View, between its junctions with house No. 35 to No. 37 Stenbury View. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The restriction is required for trench repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Public Footpath N120, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians and Cyclists) Order No 1 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0700 hours on Monday 19 November 2018 until 1700 hours on Friday 30 November 2018, or until the works have been completed, no person shall cause any pedestrian or cyclist, to proceed along Public Footpath N120, between its junctions with Island Harbour and Seaclose. The alternative route will be Fairlee Road. The restriction is required for footpath repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Main Road, Shalfleet, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 0930 hours and 1530 hours from Monday 19 November 2018 until Saturday 30 November 2018, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along Main Road, between its junctions with Corf Road and Mill Road. The alternative route is A3054, Thorley Road, Wilmingham Lane, B3399, B3401, Priory Road, Gunville Road, Forest Road, Yarmouth Road and A3054. The restriction is required for the rebuild of a boundary wall.

• The Isle of Wight Council (St Johns Road, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 hours on Monday 19 November 2018 until 1700 hours on Thursday 22 November 2018, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along St Johns Road, between its junctions with High Street and Warwick Street. The alternative route is St Johns Hill, Alexandra Road, East Hill Road, Esplanade, George Street, Cross Street, High Street, Garfield Road, John Street, West Street and Green Street. The restriction is required for utility connection works.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 0630 hours and 1800 hours on approximately 5 to 10 days, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner; that no vehicle or person may use, or cause any animal to use the following roads; and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road where indicated by traffic signs.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Whitepit Lane, Newport) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic and Parking Restrictions) Order No 3 2018 – Whitepit Lane will be closed between its junctions with Cedar Hill and Watergate Road. The alternative route is Carisbrooke Road, High Street, Medina Way, Snooks Hill, St Georges Way and Shide Road.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Nettlecombe Lane, Whitwell) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic and Parking Restrictions) Order No 2 2018 – Nettlecombe Lane will be closed between its junctions with High Street for its entire length. There is no alternative route.

The alternative route is Arreton Street in a Westerly direction, Arreton Road, Sandown Road, Blackwater Road, Blackwater Hollow, Main Road, Newport Road, School Road, High Street, Shanklin Road, Canteen Road, Ventnor Road.

Notice is hereby given that the following Orders have been made under Section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847:-

• The Isle of Wight Council (Cross Street, Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2018

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that on Saturday 17 November and Sunday 18 November 2018 between 1000 hours and 1600 hours, or when the event has finished, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any non-event related vehicle to proceed along Cross Street between its junctions with St Marys Road and Shooters Hill. The closure is required for safety during the Christmas light switch on event. The diversion will be signposted locally.
