TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDERS

Date effective: Friday 20th July 2018

Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following Orders: –

• The Isle of Wight Council (Field Lane, St Helens, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 3 2018
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0900 and 1600 hours from Monday 31st July 2018 until Wednesday 01st August 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Field Lane, between its junction with West Green and The Diggings. The alternative route is The Diggings, Upper Green Road and Field Lane. The Closure is required for pothole repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Hambrough Road, Ventnor, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 1 2018
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0900 and 1600 hours from Wednesday 01st August 2018 until Friday 03rd August 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Hambrough Road, between its junction with Church Street and Pier Street. The alternative route is Church Street, High Street, Victoria Street and Albert Street. The Closure is required for carriageway investigation works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Maples Drive, Ventnor, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 1 2018
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours on Tuesday 31st July 2018 until 1600 hours on Friday 03rd August 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Maples Drive, from outside The Maples. There is no alternative route. The restriction is required for Southern Gas works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Bettesworth Road, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 2 2018
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 hours on Monday 30th July 2018 until 1700 hours on Friday 10th August 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Bettesworth Road, between its junctions with St Michaels Avenue and Ashey Road. The alternative route is Bettesworth Road, Upton Road and Ashey Road. The restriction is required for Southern Water repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Lower Road, Brading, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 3 2018
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0930 hours on Friday 27th July 2018 until 1530 hours on Friday 03rd August 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Lower Road, Brading, between its junctions with Longwood Lane, Lake and Main Road, Alverstone. The alternative route is Lower Road and Upper Road. The restriction is required for Drainage Survey works.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 0630 hours and 1800 hours on approximately 5 to 10 days, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner; that no vehicle or person may use, or cause any animal to use the following roads; and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road where indicated by traffic signs.

The closures are for carriageway and footway repairs, resurfacing, drainage works, verge maintenance and kerbing works between Friday 20th July 2018 and Friday 31st August 2018. It may be necessary to close this section of road on more than one occasion within this timeframe. • The Isle of Wight Council (York Lane, Totland, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 2 2018 – York Lane will be closed between Cliff Bay and Alum Bay New Road. The alternative route is Cliff Road and Alum Bay New Road

• The Isle of Wight Council (Furrlongs, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 2 2018 – Furrlongs will be closed between Staplers Road and St Georges Way. The alternative route is Staplers Road, Coppins Bridge Gyratory and St Georges Way.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Gatcombe Village Road, Gatcombe, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2018 – Gatcombe Village Road will be closed between New Road and Doctors Lane. The alternative route is Sandy Lane, Blackwater Hollow and Highwood Lane.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 1830 hours and 0600 hours on approximately 5 to 10 nights, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner; that no vehicle or person may use, or cause any animal to use the following roads; and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road where indicated by traffic signs.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Clatterford Shute, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 2 2018 – Clatterford Shute will be closed between Clatterford Road and Millers Lane. The alternative route is Clatterford Road, Carisbrooke High Street, Cedar Hill, Whitcombe Road and Froglands Lane.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that on Wednesday 01st August 2018, between 1800 and 2200, or when the event has finished, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any non-event related vehicle to proceed along (1) Priory Road, between Popham Road and Church Road; (2) Church Road, between Prior Road and High Street; (3) High Street, between Church Road and Regent Street; (4) Regent Street, between High Street and Atherley Road; (5) Atherley Road, between Regent Street and Arthurs Hill; (6) North Road, between Arthurs Hill and Queens Road; (7) Queens Road, between North Road and Chine Avenue; (8) Chine Avenue, between Queens Road and High Street; (9) High Street, between Queens Road and Church Road; (10) Church Road, between High Street and Priory Road; (11) Priory Road, between Church Road and Popham Road. Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that on Tuesday 31st July 2018, between 1230 and 1430, or when the event has finished, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any non-event related vehicle to proceed along (1) Palmerston Road, between High Street and Cross Street; (2) Cross Street, between Palmerston Road and North Road; (3) North Road, between Cross Street and Regent Street; (4) Regent Street, between North Road and Shanklin Station. Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that on Friday 27th July 2018, between 1445 and 1545, or when the event has finished, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any non-event related vehicle to proceed along (1) Culver Parade, between Fort Street and Avenue Road; (2) High Street, between Avenue Road and Pier Street; (3) Pier Street, between High Street and Esplanade; (4) Esplanade, between Pier Street and Culver Parade; (5) Culver Parade, between Avenue Road and Fort Street. • The Isle of Wight Council (Esplanade & Union Street, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2018
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that on Sunday 22nd July 2018, between 0600 and 2359, when signs are displayed in accordance with TSRGD, or when the event has finished, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any non-event related vehicle to proceed along (i) Union Street, between Esplanade and Cross Street; and (ii) Esplanade, between Union Street and George Street. The closure is required for safety during the Ryde Slide event. The diversion will be signposted locally.

• The Isle of Wight Council (High Street, Seaview, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2018
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that on Saturday 21st July 2018, between 1800 and 2330, or when the event has finished, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any non-event related vehicle to proceed along (i) High Street, between Circular Road and West Street; and (ii) Esplanade, between High Street and Seafield Road. The closure is required for safety during the Party on the Prom event. The diversion will be signposted locally.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Various Street, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2018

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that on Saturday 21st July 2018, (A) between 1030 and 1400, or when the event has finished, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any non-event related vehicle to proceed along (1) Queens Road, between Binstead Road and West Street; (2) West Street, between Queens Road and Lind Street; and (3) Lind Street, between West Street and Cross Street; (4) Union Street, between Lind Street and Esplanade; (5) Esplanade, between Union Street and Dover Street; (6) Esplanade between Dover Street and North Walk (southern junction); (7) North Walk (southern side canoe lake) between Esplanade and Appley Lane; and (B) between 2100 and 2330, when signed in accordance with the TSRGD, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Esplanade from its junction with the North Walk (southern) to its junction with Dover Street . • The Isle of Wight Council (North Walk, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2018
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 1200 on Friday 20th July 2018, until 1200 on Sunday 22nd July 2018, no person shall cause any non-event related vehicle to proceed along North Walk on the seaward (northern) side, between Esplanade and Appley Lane. The closure is required for event safety during the IW (UK) Pride event. The diversion will be via North Walk on the southern side of the canoe lake.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Various Street, Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 3 2018
Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that on Tuesday 24th July 2018, between 1200 and 1500, or when the event has finished, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any non-event related vehicle to proceed along High Street, Bath Road, The Parade, and Castle Hill, between Market Hill and Queens Road. The closures are required for pedestrian safety during a naming ceremony at The Parade / Trinity Landing. The diversions will be signposted locally.

The alternative route is Bonchurch Village Road, St Boniface Road and Lesson Road. The closure is required for carriageway repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Allotment Road, Niton, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 1 2018
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0900 and 1600 hours from Monday 23rd July 2018 until Wednesday 25th July 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Allotment Road, between its junction with Town End and Lower Fields. Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 1930 and 2300 hours from Tuesday 24th July 2018 until Thursday 26th July 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Pyle Street, between its junction with Town Lane and East Street. Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0900 and 1600 hours from Friday 20th July 2018 until Tuesday 24th July 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Hatherton Road, between its junction with Brook Road and Western Road. The alternative route is Western Road, Landguard Road, High Street, Orchardleigh Road and St Johns Road. The closure is required for carriageway repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Elm Grove, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 1 2018
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0900 and 1600 hours from Friday 20th July 2018 until Tuesday 24th July 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Elm Grove, Newport, between its junction with St Johns Road and Linden Road. The alternative route is Linden Road, Nelson Road, Trafalgar Road, Carisbrooke Road, High Street, Coppins Bridge Gyratory, St Georges Way, St Georges Approach, Medina Avenue and St Johns Road. The alternative route is Furrlongs, St Georges Way, Coppins Bridge Gyratory and Staplers Road. The closure is required for carriageway repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Ratcliffe Avenue, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 2 2018
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 hours on Monday 23rd July 2018 until 1700 hours on Friday 03rd August 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Ratcliffe Avenue, between its junctions with Pellhurst Road and Swanmore Road. The alternative route is Pellhurst Road, Upton Road and Swanmore Road. The restriction is required for Water Main Renewal works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Pell Lane, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 3 2018
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0700 hours on Monday 23rd July 2018 until 0700 hours on Monday 03rd September 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Pell Lane, between its junctions with Winston Avenue and Pellhurst Road. The alternative route is Pellhurst Road, Mayfield Road, St Vincents Road, Broadway Crescent and Winston Avenue. The restriction is required for Highways and Footpath improvement works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Crossways Road, East Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 4 2018
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours on Monday 23rd July 2018 until 1700 hours on Monday 20th August 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Crossways Road, between its junctions with Whippingham Road and Beatrice Avenue. The alternative route is Whippingham Road, Saunders Way and Beatrice Avenue. The restriction is required for Footway reconstruction and surfacing works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Broad Lane, Brighstone, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 1 2018
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 hours on Monday 23rd July 2018 until 1500 hours on Thursday 02nd August 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Broad Lane, between its junctions with Wicken Hill Lane and Main Road. The alternative route is Mill Lane, New Road and Main Road. The restriction is required for carriageway repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Newnham Lane, Binstead, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 2 2018
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 hours on Friday 27th July 2018 until 1600 hours on Friday 03rd August 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Newnham Lane, between its junctions with Firestone Copse Road and Newnham Road. The alternative route is Newnham Road, Elenors Grove, Kite Hill, and Firestone Copse Road The restriction is required for drainage and culvert works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Mill Lane, Newbridge, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 1 2018
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours on Monday 23rd July 2018 until 1600 hours on Friday 14th September 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Mill Lane, from its junction with Main Road for its whole length. There is no alternative route. The restriction is required for bridge replacement works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (North Walk, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Revocation of a One-Way Restriction) Order 1 2018
Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 1200 hours on Friday 20th July 2018 until 1200 hours on Sunday 22nd July 2018, or when the event has finished, whichever is the sooner, will revoke the one-way restriction along North Walk, on the southern side of the canoe lake, from its junction with Appley Rise to its junction with Esplanade. The revocation is required for public access during the IW (UK) Pride event

• The Isle of Wight Council (Arctic Road, Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2018 – Arctic Road will be closed between Newport Road and Smithards Lane. The alternative route is Smithards Lane and Newport Road.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Harding Shute, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2018 – Harding Shute will be closed between Brading Road and West Lane. The alternative route is Green Lane, Ashey Road, Smallbrook Lane and Brading Road.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 1830 hours and 0600 hours on approximately 5 to 10 nights, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner; that no vehicle or person may use, or cause any animal to use the following roads; and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road where indicated by traffic signs.

The closures are for carriageway and footway repairs, resurfacing, drainage works, verge maintenance and kerbing works between Friday 20th July 2018 and Friday 31st August 2018. It may be necessary to close this section of road on more than one occasion within this timeframe.
