Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following Orders: –

• The Isle of Wight Council (Coopers Lane, Shalfleet, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2019

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between approx. 0900 and 1600 hours from Monday 2 September 2019 until Wednesday 4 September 2019, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along Coopers Lane, between its junctions with Wellow Top Road and Wellow Main Road. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during carriageway repairs.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Great Preston Road, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 3 2019

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between approx. 0900 and 1600 hours from Monday 2 September 2019 until Friday 6 September 2019, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along Great Preston Road, between its junctions with Harding Road and Nicholson Road. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during carriageway repairs.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Mill Road, Shalfleet, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2019

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between approx. 0900 and 1600 hours from Wednesday 4 September 2019 until Friday 6 September 2019, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along Mill Road, between its junctions with Shalfleet Main Road and Mill Lane. • The Isle of Wight Council (Church Lane, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 3 2019

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from approx. 0800 hours on Tuesday 3 September 2019 until 1800 hours on Tuesday 17 September 2019, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along Church Lane, between its junctions with St Thomas’ Square and Union Street. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during fibre optic installation works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (York Lane, Totland, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2019

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from approx. 0800 hours on Monday 2 September 2019 until 1630 hours on Friday 6 September 2019, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along York Lane, between its junctions with Cliff Road and Church Hill. • The Isle of Wight Council (Watergate Road, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 3 2019

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day, between approx. 0600 hours until 1800 hours, from Friday 30 August 2019 until Friday 20 September 2019, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along Watergate Road, between its junctions with Chatfield Lodge and Shide Road. The alternative route will be signposted locally, and advanced work information boards will be placed, to depict the exact dates, prior to the works commencing. • The Isle of Wight Council (Park Road, Wootton, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2019

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from approx. 0800 hours on Monday 2 September 2019 until 1600 hours on Friday 25 October 2019, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle, to proceed along Park Road, between its junctions with Lushington Hill and Station Road. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during bridge deck replacement works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (National Cycle Route 22, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians, Cyclists and Equestrians) Order No 1 2019

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from approx. 0800 hours on Monday 2 September 2019 until 1600 hours on Monday 30 September 2019, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any pedestrian, cyclist or equestrian, to proceed along NCR 22, between its junctions with Park Road and Station Road. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during bridge repair works.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 0630 hours and 1800 hours on approximately 1 to 10 days, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner; that no vehicle or person may use, or cause any animal to use the following roads; and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road where indicated by traffic signs.

The closures are for carriageway and footway repairs, resurfacing, drainage works, verge maintenance and kerbing works between Friday 30 August 2019 and Friday 11 October 2019. Exact dates, durations and access information will be communicated to affected businesses and residents via letter and advanced warning signs before the scheme commences.  It may be necessary to close this section of road on more than one occasion within this timeframe:

• The Isle of Wight Council (Strathwell Crescent, Whitwell, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2019 – Strathwell Crescent will be closed for its entire length. There is no alternative route.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Cadets Walk, East Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2019 – Cadets Walk will be closed for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Seven Sisters Close, Whitwell, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2019 – Seven Sisters Close will be closed for its entire length. There is no alternative route.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Arnold Road, Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2019 – Arnold Road will be closed for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally.

• The Isle of Wight Council (St Johns Wood Road, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 5 2019 – St Johns Wood Road will be closed for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Whites Mead, Lake, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2019 – Whites Mead will be closed for its entire length. There is no alternative route.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Westhill Drive, Shanklin, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2019 – Westhill Drive will be closed for its entire length. There is no alternative route.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Cross Street, Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 5 2019 – Cross Street will be closed for its entire length. There is no alternative route.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Bridgeway, Wootton, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2019 – Bridgeway will be closed for its entire length. There is no alternative route.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Quay Lane, Brading, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2019 – Quay Lane will be closed for its entire length. There is no alternative route.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Spring Gardens, Shanklin, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 2 2019 – Spring Gardens will be closed for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally.

• The Isle of Wight Council (North Street, Sandown, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2019 – North Street will be closed for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Seven Sisters Road, St Lawrence, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 5 2019 – Seven Sisters Road will be closed for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally.

• The Isle of Wight Council (College Way, East Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2019 – College Way will be closed for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Gort Road, East Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2019 – Gort Road will be closed for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Central Way, Sandown, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2019 – Central Way will be closed for its entire length. There is no alternative route.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 1200 hours until 2100 hours on Saturday 31 August 2019, or when the event has finished, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Duver Road between its junctions with Eddington Road and the end of the highway. The closure is required for safety during the Happening (Fort Walk). There is no diversion. Emergency vehicles and residents to off road parking will be permitted.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, St Helens, Isle of Wight) (Temporary No Waiting Parking Restriction) Order No 1 2019

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0700 hours until 2100 hours on Saturday 31 August 2019, or when the event has finished, no person shall cause any vehicle to wait along the following lengths of road; a) Duver Road, on both sides, between its junctions with Eddington Road and the end of the highway; b) Eddington Road, on both sides, between its junctions with, Duver Road and the access to Nodes Point; c) Upper Green Road, on the northern side, between Guildford Road and Graystone Lane; d) Lower Green Road, on the north-west side, between Upper Green Road and Mill Road. • The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 6 2019

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 1700 hours until 2359 hours on Saturday 31 August 2019, or when the event has finished, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any non-event related vehicle to proceed along the following lengths of road; North Walk, Esplanade, Dover Street, Park Road, Star Street, High Street and Union Street. The closures are required for safety during the Ryde Illuminated Carnival. The diversion will be signposted locally.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Shorwell, Isle of Wight) (Temporary One-Way Restriction) Order No 1 2019

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for periods between 0930 and 1630 hours on Saturday 31 August 2019 and Sunday 1 September 2019 or when the event is finished, whichever is the sooner, the Isle of Wight Council will introduce a one-way restriction on the following lengths of road; Corve Hill, Pound Lane, Wolverton Lane, Park Lane. The alternative route will be signposted locally, and advanced work information boards will be placed, to depict the exact dates, prior to the works commencing. • The Isle of Wight Council (Pyle Street, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Reversal of One-Way Restriction) Order No 1 2019

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that between approx. 1830 and 0600 hours on two nights between Friday 23 August 2019 and Friday 4 October 2019, or when the resurfacing works on South Street are in progress, the one-way restriction along Pyle Street will be reversed, between its junctions with Town Lane and St James Street in an east to west direction. The alternative route will be signposted locally, and advanced work information boards will be placed, to depict the exact dates, prior to the works commencing. The reversal is required for safety and to allow access to premises and businesses whilst resurfacing works are undertaken along South Street, Newport.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Bonchurch Village Road, Ventnor, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 6 2019 – Bonchurch Village Road will be closed for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Southdown, Chale, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 4 2019 – Southdown will be closed for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Pyle Shute, Chale, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2019 – Pyle Shute will be closed for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Old Park Road, Ventnor, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2019 – Old Park Road will be closed for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Woolverton Road, Ventnor, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2019 – Woolverton Road will be closed for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Monkton Street, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 4 2019 – Monkton Street will be closed for its entire length; however the closures will be completed in three phases, on street signage will depict the exact lengths, dates and times as the works progress. The alternative route will be signposted locally.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Cedar Hill, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2019 – Cedar Hill will be closed for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally

• The Isle of Wight Council (South Street, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 3 2019 – South Street will be closed for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally

• The Isle of Wight Council (West Street, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 3 2019 – West Street will be closed for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally

• The Isle of Wight Council (Dodnor Park Roundabout, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2019 – Dodnor Park Roundabout, will be closed for its entire circumference and 50 metres of all adjoining roads. The alternative route will be signposted locally.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that over approximately 8 (eight) weeks for both day and nights, in various sections and parts, that no vehicle or person may use, or cause any animal to use the following roads; and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road where indicated by traffic signs.

The closures are for carriageway and footway repairs, resurfacing, drainage works, verge maintenance and kerbing works between Friday 23 August 2019 and Friday 18 October 2019. Exact dates, durations and access information will be communicated to affected businesses and residents via letter and advanced warning signs before the scheme commences. It may be necessary to close this section of road on more than one occasion within this timeframe:

• The Isle of Wight Council (Grange Road and Oakfield Road, East Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2019 – Grange Road and Oakfield Road will be closed between Orchard Road and Mayfield Road. These works will be phased and will begin with Grange Road (west to east section only) for strengthening works, the remaining sections will be phased works for resurfacing and on street notices will be placed to depict the exact locations, dates and times. The alternative route will be signposted locally.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 2100 hours until 2359 hours on Saturday 24 August 2019, or when the event has finished, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any non-event related vehicle to proceed along the following lengths of road; Crossfield Avenue, Parklands Avenue, Park Road, Victoria Road, Mill Hill Road, Birmingham Road, Shooters Hill, High Street, Bath Road and The Parade. The closures are required for safety during the Cowes Illuminated Carnival. The diversion will be signposted locally.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 4 2019

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 1345 hours until 1630 hours on Wednesday 28 August 2019, or when the event has finished, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any non-event related vehicle to proceed along the following lengths of road; Dover Street, Park Road, Star Street, High Street, Cross Street and Melville Street. The closures are required for safety during the Ryde Children’s Carnival. The diversion will be signposted locally.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 5 2019

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 1630 hours until 2100 hours on Thursday 29 August 2019, or when the event has finished, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any non-event related vehicle to proceed along the following lengths of road; North Walk, Esplanade, Dover Street, Park Road, Star Street, High Street and Union Street. The closures are required for safety during the Ryde Main Carnival. The diversion will be signposted locally.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Sandown, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 4 2019

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that on Wednesday 28 August 2019, or when the event has finished, whichever is sooner that, no person shall cause any non-event related vehicle to proceed along the following lengths of road from a) 1700 hours until 2230 hours, Culver Parade, between Fort Street and High Street and Esplanade between Esplanade Road and Avenue Road Slipway;  b) 2000 hours until 2200 hours, High Street, Beachfield Road, Royal Crescent, Melville Street, Fitzroy Street, Station Avenue, Albert Road, Victoria Road and Culver Parade. The closures are required for safety during the Sandown Illuminated Carnival. The diversion will be signposted locally.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Madeira Road, Seaview, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 2 2019

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 0800 and 1400 hours on Saturday 24 August 2019, or when the event has finished, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any non-event related vehicle to proceed along Madeira Road for its entire length. The closure is required for safety during the Seaview Summer Fayre. The diversion will be signposted locally.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Yarmouth, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2019

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 1600 until 1700 hours on Saturday 24 August 2019, or when the event has finished, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any non-event related vehicle to proceed along the following lengths of road; River Road, St James Street, Bridge Street, The Quay, Quay Street, Market Square, High Street, Basketts Lane, Tennyson Road, Victoria Road, Station Road, Mill Road and River Road. The closures are required for safety during the Yarmouth Carnival. The diversion will be signposted locally.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, St Helens, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2019

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 1800 hours until 1900 hours on Monday 26 August 2018, or when the event has finished, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any non-event related vehicle to proceed along the following lengths of road; Field Lane, Upper Green Road, Mill Road Lower Green Road and Vine Road. The closure is required for safety during the St Helens Carnival. The diversion will be signposted locally.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Esplanade, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2019

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 1200 hours until 1400 hours on Sunday 25 August 2019, or when the event has finished, no person shall cause any non-event related vehicle to proceed along the Esplanade, Ryde:  North West bound carriageway from its junction with North Walk to its junction with George Street.  South East bound Carriageway from its junction with George Street to its junction with North Walk. The closure is required in the interests of pedestrian and road safety whilst the IoW Scooter Rally Event takes place. The alternative route will be signposted locally.
