TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDERS

Date effective: Friday 27th March 2020

Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following Orders: –

• The Isle of Wight Council (Mill Road, Yarmouth, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2020

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from approx. 0900 hours on Monday 6 April 2020 until 1600 hours on Friday 10 April 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Mill Road, between its junctions with River Road and Station Road. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during tree maintenance.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Spring Gardens, Shanklin, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2020

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice from approx. 0800 hours on Monday 6 April 2020 until 1800 hour on Tuesday 21April 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Spring Gardens, for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during utility installation works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Kings Road, Bembridge, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2020

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for three days between approx. 0900 an 1600 hours from Monday 6 April 2020 until Friday 1 May 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Kings Road, between its junctions with Pump Lane and a point 25 metres west thereof. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during resurfacing works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Whitehouse Road, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 3 2020

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between approx. 0900 and 1600 hours Monday 6 April 2020 until Wednesday 8 April 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Whitehouse Road, between its junctions with Main Road and Colemans Lane. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during carriageway repairs.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Eddington Road, St Helens, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2020

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between approx. 0900 and 1600 hours Monday 6 April 2020 until Wednesday 8 April 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Eddington Road, between its junctions with Upper Green Road and Attrills Lane. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during carriageway repairs.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Medeway, Lake, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 2 2020

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between approx. 0900 and 1600 hours Monday 6 April 2020 until Thursday 9 April 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Medeway, between its junctions with The Fairway and Lake Green Road. • The Isle of Wight Council (Rectory Road, Shanklin, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2020

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between approx. 0900 and 1600 hours from Wednesday 8 April 2020 until Thursday 9 April 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Rectory Road, for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during carriageway repairs.

• The Isle of Wight Council (High Street, Bembridge, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 2 2020

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between approx. 0900 and 1600 hours from Wednesday 8 April 2020 until Thursday 9 April 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Bembridge High Street, between its junctions with Foreland Road and Woodland Grove. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during carriageway repairs.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Longwood Lane, Lake, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2020

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between approx. 0900 and 1600 hours from Tuesday 7 April 2020 until Thursday 9 April 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Longwood Lane, for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during street furniture and verge maintenance works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Palmerston Road, Shanklin, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2020

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between approx. 0900 and 1600 hours from Monday 6 April 2020 until Wednesday 8 April 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Palmerston Road, between its junctions with High Street and Alexandra Road. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during carriageway repairs.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Harding Shute, Brading, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 4 2020

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between approx. 0900 and 1600 hours from Monday 6 April 2020 until Wednesday 8 April 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Harding Shute, between its junctions with West Lane and Beaper Shute. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during street furniture maintenance.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Lower Road, Brading, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 2 2020

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between approx. 0900 and 1600 hours from Monday 6 April 2020 until Wednesday 8 April 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Lower Road, between its junctions with Alverstone Road and Upper Road. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during carriageway repairs.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Quay Street and The Quay, Yarmouth, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2020

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one night between approx. 1930 and 2359 hours from Monday 6 April 2020 until Wednesday 8 April 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Quay Street and The Quay, for their entire lengths. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during carriageway repairs.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 0630 hours and 1800 hours on approximately 5 to 10 days, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner; that no vehicle or person may use, or cause any animal to use the following roads; and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road where indicated by traffic signs.

The closures are for carriageway and footway repairs, resurfacing, drainage works, verge maintenance and kerbing works between Friday 3rd April 2020 and Friday 15th May 2020. Exact dates, durations and access information will be communicated to affected businesses and residents via letter and advanced warning signs before the scheme commences It may be necessary to close this section of road on more than one occasion within this timeframe:

• The Isle of Wight Council (Steyne Road, Seaview, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2020 – Steyne Road will be closed for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Church Street, Seaview, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2020 – Church Street will be closed for its entire length. The alternative route will be signposted locally.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 1830 hours and 0600 hours on approximately 5 to 10 nights, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner; that no vehicle or person may use, or cause any animal to use the following roads; and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road where indicated by traffic signs.

The closures are for carriageway and footway repairs, resurfacing, drainage works, verge maintenance and kerbing works between Friday 3rd April 2020 and Friday 15th May 2020. Exact dates, durations and access information will be communicated to affected businesses and residents via letter and advanced warning signs before the scheme commences. It may be necessary to close this section of road on more than one occasion within this timeframe:

• The Isle of Wight Council (Park Road and Terminus Road, Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2020 – Park Road and Terminus Road will be closed between Ward Avenue and Carvel Lane. The alternative route will be signposted locally.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Sea Street, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2020 – Sea Street will be closed between Quay Street and Holyrood Street. The alternative route will be signposted locally.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Little London, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 2 2020 – Little London will be closed between Bargeman’s Rest and Sea Street. The alternative route will be signposted locally.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Holyrood Street, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary One-Way Restrictions) Order No 2 2020 – A one-way restriction will be introduced along Holyrood Street from its junction with St Cross Court to its junction with Crocker Street, in a southern direction.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Cadets Walk, East Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2020

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from approx. 0001 hours from Monday 30 March 2020 until 2359 hours on Friday 10 April 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Cadets Walk between its junctions with Kingstone Road and Vectis Road. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during utility works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Pomona Road, Shanklin, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 2 2020

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from approx. 0800 hours from Friday 27 March 2020 until 1800 hours on Thursday 9 April 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Pomona Road between its junctions with High Street and Grange Road. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during utility works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Salem Road and Paddock Road, Shanklin, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Revocation of One-Way Restriction) Order No 1 2020

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from approx. 0800 hours from Friday 27 March 2020 until 1800 hours on Thursday 9 April 2020, or when the works have been completed, the one way restriction will be revoked along a) Salem Road between its junctions with Paddock Road and Pomona Road; b) Paddock Road, between its junctions with Salem Road and Florence Road. The revocations are required for safety during utility works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Freshwater Road, Shalfleet, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 2 2020

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from approx. 1800 hours from Monday 30 March 2020 until 0600 hours on Tuesday 31 March 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Freshwater Road between its junctions with Broad Lane and Wilmingham Lane. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during carriageway reconstruction.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Rectory Lane, Niton, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2020

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for two days between approx. 0900 and1600 hours from Tuesday 31 March 2020 until Thursday 2 April 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Rectory Lane for its entire length. There is no alternative route. The closure is required for safety during footway repairs.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Clarence Road, Wroxall, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 2 2020

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between approx. 0930 and 1530 hours from Tuesday 31 March 2020 until Thursday 2 April 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Clarence Road between its junctions with High Street and Newport Road. • The Isle of Wight Council (Newport Shute, Arreton, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 2 2020

• The Isle of Wight Council (St Lawrence Shute, Whitwell, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2020

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between approx. 0900 and 1600 hours from Wednesday 1 April 2020 until Friday 3 April 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along St Lawrence Shute, between its junctions with Seven Sisters Road and Whitwell Road. • The Isle of Wight Council (College Close, Sandown, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2020

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one night between approx. 1900 and 2300 hours from Wednesday 1 April 2020 until Friday 3 April 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along College Close, for its entire length. There is no alternative route. The closure is required for safety during carriageway repairs.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Seaview Lane, Nettlestone, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2020

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between approx. 0900 and 1600 hours from Monday 30 March 2020 until Wednesday 1 April 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Seaview Lane between its junctions with Nettlestone Hill and Steyne Road. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during carriageway repairs.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, East Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary One-Way Restrictions) Order No 1 2020

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that between approx. 0900 and 1600 hours each day from Wednesday 1 April 2020 until Thursday 9 April 2020, or when the works have been completed, a one-way restriction will be in place along a) School Hill Road, for its entire length from it junction with Osborne Road to Clarence Road; b) Falcone Road, from Osborne Road to Clarence Road.  Both in an east to west direction. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The restriction is required for safety during the installation of dropped kerbs.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Havenstreet Main Road, Havenstreet, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 2 2020

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that between approx. 1930 and 2300 hours, each evening from Monday 30 March 2020 until Tuesday 31 March 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Havenstreet Main Road between its junctions with Briddlesford Road and Firestone Copse Road. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during sign installation works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Carisbrooke Road, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 3 2020

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that between approx. 0700 and 1700 hours each day, from Saturday 28 March 2020 until Sunday 29 March 2020, or when the works have been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Carisbrooke Road between its junctions with Drill Hall Road and Bedford Road. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The closure is required for safety during maintenance works to the retaining wall.
