Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 14 (1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following Orders: –

• The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Nettlestone, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2021

• The Isle of Wight Council (Appley Lane, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 3 2021

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours until 2300 hours, from Wednesday 18 August 2021 until Friday 20 August 2021, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Appley Lane for its entire length. The alternative route will be sign posted locally. The closure is required for safety during carriageway repairs.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 0600 hours and 1800 hours on approximately five to ten days, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner; that no vehicle or person may use, or cause any animal to use the following roads; and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road where indicated by traffic signs.

The closures are for carriageway and footway repairs, resurfacing, drainage works, verge maintenance and kerbing works between Friday 13 August 2021 and Friday 24 September 2021. Exact dates, durations and access information will be communicated to affected businesses and residents via letter and advanced warning signs before the scheme commences. It may be necessary to close this section of road on more than one occasion within this timeframe:

• The Isle of Wight Council (St Michaels Avenue, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2021 – St Michaels Avenue for its entire length. The restriction is required for safety during carriageway resurfacing works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Bettesworth Road, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2021 – Bettesworth Road between its junctions with Lower Bettesworth Road and Wrexham Avenue. The restriction is required for safety during carriageway resurfacing works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Simeon Street, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2021 – Simeon Street for its entire length. The restriction is required for safety during carriageway resurfacing works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Monkton Street, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 2 2021 – Monkton Street between its junctions with East Street and The Strand. The restriction is required for safety during carriageway resurfacing works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Cornwall Street, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2021 – Cornwall Street between its junctions with The Strand and Simeon Street. The restriction is required for safety during carriageway resurfacing works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (The Strand, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary No Waiting At Any Time) Order No 1 2021 – The Strand between its junctions with Cornwall Street and Esplanade. The restriction is required for safety during carriageway resurfacing works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Dennett Road, Bembridge, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2021 – Dennett Road for its entire length. The restriction is required for safety during carriageway resurfacing works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (High Street, Bembridge, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2021 – High Street between its junctions with Grange Gardens and Church Road. The restriction is required for safety during carriageway resurfacing works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Bellevue Road, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 3 2021 – Bellevue Road for its entire length. The restriction is required for safety during carriageway resurfacing works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Dover Street, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 7 2021 – Dover Street between its junctions with Melville Street and Castle Street. The restriction is required for safety during carriageway resurfacing works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Nelson Street, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 3 2021 – Nelson Street between its junctions with Melville Street and Castle Street. The restriction is required for safety during carriageway resurfacing works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (East Mount Road, Shanklin, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2021 – East Mount Road for its entire length. The restriction is required for safety during carriageway resurfacing works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Clarendon Road, Shanklin, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2021 – Clarendon Road between its junctions with Queens Road and Park Road. The restriction is required for safety during carriageway resurfacing works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Crescent Road, Shanklin, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2021 – Crescent Road between its junctions with Queens Road and Clarendon Road. The restriction is required for safety during carriageway resurfacing works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Norton Green, Freshwater, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2021 – Norton Green for its entire length. The restriction is required for safety during carriageway post-works.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Friday 13 August 2021 and Friday 24 September 2021 the following restrictions will be in place for both day and night for a period of approximately six weeks, or when the works have been completed, for safety during carriageway reconstruction and resurfacing works.
