TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDERS

Date effective: Friday 18th May 2018

Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following Orders: –

• The Isle of Wight Council (Church Hill, Godshill, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 2 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 hours on Tuesday 29 May 2018 until 1700 hours on Friday 8 June 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Church Hill, between its junction with Church Hollow and School Road. The alternative route is School Road, West Street, Whitwell Road and Merryl Lane.  The closure is required for the construction of a buildout.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Alverstone Road, East Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 3 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0900 and 1600 hours from Friday 25 May 2018 until Tuesday 29 May 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Alverstone Road, between its junction with Brocks Copse Road and Whippingham Road. The alternative route is Alverstone Road and Whippingham Road.  The closure is required for drainage works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Upper Road, Brading, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 2 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0900 and 1600 hours from Friday 25 May 2018 until Tuesday 29 May 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Upper Road, between its junction with Bullys Hill and Main Road. The alternative route is Bullys Hill, The Mall, Lower Adgestone Road and Lower Road.  The closure is required for carriageway repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Lower Limerstone Lane, Brighstone, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 1 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0900 and 1600 hours from Friday 25 May 2018 until Tuesday 29 May 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Lower Limerstone Lane, between its junction with Limerstone Road and Muggleton Lane. The alternative route is Muggleton Lane and Limerstone Road.  The closure is required for carriageway repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Carters Road, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 1 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0900 and 1600 hours from Friday 25 May 2018 until Tuesday 29 May 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Carters Road, between its junction with Ashey Road and Upton Road. The alternative route is Upton Road and Ashey Road.  The closure is required for carriageway repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Clatterford Shute and Froglands Lane, Carisbrooke, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 1 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0900 and 1600 hours from Friday 25 May 2018 until Tuesday 29 May 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Clatterford Shute and Froglands Lane, between its junction with Clatterford Road and Whitcombe Road. The alternative route is Clatterford Road, High Street, Cedar Hill and Whitcombe Road.  The closure is required for carriageway repair works.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 0630 hours and 1800 hours on approximately 5 to 10 days, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner; that no vehicle or person may use, or cause any animal to use the following roads; and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road where indicated by traffic signs.

The closures are for carriageway and footway repairs, resurfacing, drainage works, verge maintenance and kerbing works between Friday 25th May 2018 and Friday 6th July 2018. It may be necessary to close this section of road on more than one occasion within this timeframe.  The exact dates of the works will be confirmed on the Island Roads website at www.islandroads.com or ring on 01983 822440:

• The Isle of Wight Council (High Street, Whitwell, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 4 2018 – High Street will be closed between Kemming Road and Southford Lane. The alternative route is Whitwell Road, Gills Cliff Road, Newport Road, B3327, Clarence Road, High Street, St Johns Road, A3020 Shanklin Road, High Street, School Road, Newport Road, A3020, Main Road, Niton Road, Newport Road, Rectory Road, Chatfeild Road and Kemming Road.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 1830 hours and 0600 hours on approximately 5 to 10 nights, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner; that no vehicle or person may use, or cause any animal to use the following roads; and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road where indicated by traffic signs.

The closures are for carriageway and footway repairs, resurfacing, drainage works, verge maintenance and kerbing works between Friday 25th May 2018 and Friday 6th July 2018. The alternative route is Lushington Hill, Station Road, Whiterails Road, Staplers Road, Coppins Bridge roundabout, Fairlee Road and Racecourse.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Ventnor Road, Whitwell, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restriction) Order No 1 2018 – Ventnor Road will be closed between Kemming Road to a point 600 metres south thereof. The alternative route is Whitwell Road, Gills Cliff Road, Newport Road, B3327, Clarence Road, High Street, St Johns Road, A3020 Shanklin Road, High Street, School Road, Newport Road, A3020, Main Road, Niton Road, Newport Road, Rectory Road, Chatfeild Road and Kemming Road.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 2 2018

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 1600 hours until 1730 hours on Sunday 27 May 2018, or when the event has finished, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any non-event related vehicle to proceed along Terminus Road, High Street, Bath Road and The Parade. The closure is required for safety during the R.A.F 100-year Celebration Parade. The diversion will be signposted locally.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Bembridge, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restriction) Order No 1 2018

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 hours until 1700 hours on Monday 28 May 2018, or when the event has finished, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any non-event related vehicle to proceed along the High Street, Bembridge from Grange Gardens to Church Road.  A ‘No Waiting At Any Time’ parking restriction will be introduced along High Street and Church Road, on both sides between Woodland Grove and Sherbourne Street and on Steyne Road, on both sides between Lane End Road and Mill Road.  Cones will depict the exact lengths required to prevent parking on site.  The closure is required for safety during the Bembridge Street Fair. The diversion will be Foreland Road, Steyne Road, Mill Road and High Street.

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 hours on Sunday 20 May 2018 until 1700 hours on Monday 21 May 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along a) East Ashey Lane, between its junctions with Ashey Road and Green Lane; b) Ashey Road, between its junction with Green Lane and Brading Down Road. The alternative route is Smallbrook Lane, Brading Road, Beaper Shute, Rowborough Lane, High Street, New Road, Hornsey Rise, Bullys Hill and Brading Down Road.  The closure is required for carriageway repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Fieldfare Road, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 1 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0900 hours and 1600 hours from Friday 18 May 2018 and Tuesday 22 May 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Fieldfare Road, between its junctions with Taylor Road and Linnet Close. The alternative route is Taylor Road, Gunville Road, Priory Road, High Street, Carisbrooke Road, Wellington Road, Kinchington Road and Purdy Road.  The closure is required for carriageway repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Pellhurst Road, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 2 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0900 hours and 1600 hours from Friday 18 May 2018 and Tuesday 22 May 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Pellhurst Road, between its junctions with Partlands Avenue and Pell Lane. The alternative route is Argyll Street, West Street and Upton Road.  The closure is required for carriageway repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Queens Road, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 2 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one night between 1930 hours and 2300 hours from Friday 18 May 2018 and Tuesday 22 May 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Queens Road, between its junctions with West Street and Westwood Drive. The alternative route is Pellhurst Road, Argyll Street and West Street.  The closure is required for carriageway repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Redhill Lane, Wroxall, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 1 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0900 hours and 1600 hours from Friday 18 May 2018 and Tuesday 22 May 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Redhill Lane, between its junctions with Shanklin Road and Appuldurcombe Road. The alternative route is St Johns Road and Shanklin Road.  The closure is required for carriageway repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Upper Lane, Brighstone, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 1 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0900 hours and 1600 hours from Monday 21 May 2018 and Wednesday 23 May 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Upper Lane, between its junctions with North Street and Hollis Drive. The alternative route is Moortown Lane, Main Road.  The closure is required for carriageway repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Military Road, Brighstone, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 5 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0730 hours on Monday 21 May 2018 until 0700 hours on Tuesday 22 May 2018 and from 1930 hours on Tuesday 22 May until 0700 hours on Wednesday 23 May 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Military Road, between its junctions with Grange Road and Marsh Green Road. The alternative route is Military Road, Chale Street, Chale Green, Town Lane, Emmett Hill, Kingstone Road, Presford Shute, Sandy Way, Farriers Way, Walkers Lane, Limerstone Road, Main Road and New Road.  The closure is required for the removal of site equipment for the bridge works and resurfacing of the carriageway.

The closures are for high friction carriageway surfacing works between Friday 18th May 2018 and Friday 29th June 2018. It may be necessary to close this section of road on more than one occasion within this timeframe.  The exact dates of the works will be confirmed on the Island Roads website at www.islandroads.com or ring on 01983 822440:

• The Isle of Wight Council (High Street, Brading, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2018 – High Street will be closed between Coach Lane and The Mall. The alternative route is Rowborough Lane, Carpenters Road, Station Road, Embankment Road, Kings Road, Sherbourne Street (eastbound traffic), Church Road (westbound traffic), High Street, Mill Road, Sandown Road and Marshcombe Shute.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Newport Road, Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 2 2018 – Newport Road will be closed between Three Gates Road and Nodes Road. The alternative route is Three Gates Road and Nodes Road.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Newport Road, Cowes, Isle of Wight) (No Waiting At Any Time Restrictions) Order No 2 2018 –  a no waiting at any time parking restriction will be introduced along Newport Road, on both sides, between Love Lane and Mill Hill Road.

• The Isle of Wight Council (High Street, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 4 2018 – High Street will be closed between St James Square and Coppins Bridge. The alternative route is St James Street, Hunny Cross Way and Medina Way.

• The Isle of Wight Council (St James Street, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2018 – St James Street will be closed between High Street and Lugley Street. The alternative route is Lugley Street, Hearn Street, Caesars Road Drill Hall Road and Carisbrooke Road.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Beaper Shute, Brading, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2018 – Beaper Shute will be closed between Tesco roundabout and Carpenters Road. The alternative route is Bullen Road, Pondwell Hill, Nettlestone Hill, Eddington Road, Upper Green Road and Carpenters Road.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Carpenters Road and Upper Green Road, Brading & St Helens, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2018 – Carpenters Road and Upper Green Road will be closed between Beaper Shute and Eddington Road. The alternative route is Beaper Shute, Brading Road, Bullen Road, Pondwell Hill, Nettlestone Hill and Eddington Road.
