• The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Yarmouth, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 2 2026

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0700 hours on Tuesday 01 September 2026 until 1600 hours on Tuesday 22 September 2026, or when the works has been completed, A) Quay Street, Yarmouth will be closed for its entire length. and B) Market Square, Yarmouth will be closed for its entire length. The closure is required for scaffold works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Zig Zag Road, Ventnor, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 3 2026

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0930 hours on Tuesday 01 September 2026 until 1530 hours on Wednesday 02 September 2026, or when the works has been completed, Zig Zag Road, Ventnor will be closed for its entire length. • The Isle of Wight Council (Spindlers road, st Lawrence, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure) Order No 1 2026

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours on Sunday 06 September 2026 until 1600 hours on Sunday 13 September 2026, or when the works has been completed, Spindlers road, st Lawrence will be closed for its entire length. On-street signage will depict the exact length of the closure. The alternative route will be signposted locally. The restriction is required for utility works.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Friday 28 August 2026 and Friday 23 October 2026 the following roads / path will be closed between either 0800 and 1800 hours or 1800 hours and 0600 hours for a period of approximately 1 to 3 days or nights within this period, or when the works have been completed, to enable high friction surfacing works and any required pre works, to be undertaken. No vehicle or person may use or cause any animal to use the following footpaths: and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road were indicated by traffic signs.

These works may include reconstruction, resurfacing works.  In some cases, it may be necessary to close these sections of the paths / roads on more than one occasion within this timeframe. Exact dates, durations and access information will be communicated to affected businesses and residents via letter and on street advanced warning signs before the scheme commences. On-street signage will depict the exact length of the closures. Adverse weather will have an impact on this programme.

• The Isle of Wight Council (St Johns Hill, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2026 – St Johns Hill will be closed for its entire length.

• The Isle of Wight Council (St Johns Road, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2026 – St Johns Road will be closed for its entire length.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Green Street, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 2 2026 – Green Street will be closed for its entire length.

• The Isle of Wight Council (High Street, Wroxall, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 2 2026 – High Street will be closed for its entire length.

• The Isle of Wight Council (West Street, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2026 – West Street will be closed for its entire length.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Town Lane, Chale, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 2 2026 – Town Lane will be closed for its entire length.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Blackwater Shute, Arreton, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 1 2026 – Blackwater Shute will be closed for its entire length.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for a period between 1600 hours and 2100 hours, on Monday 31 August 2026, or when the event is finished, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed or wait along 1) St Michaels Road between its junctions with Upper Green Road and The Cut; 2) Upper Green Road between its junctions with St Michaels Road and Mill Road; 3) Mill Road between its junctions with Lower Green Road and Upper Green Road; 4) Lower Green Road between its junctions with Mill Road and Vine Road; 5) Vine Road for its entire length. • The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure & Temporary No Waiting At Any Time) Order No 1 2026

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for a period between 1200 hours and 1500 hours, on Saturday 29 August 2026, or when the event is finished, whichever is the sooner,

  1. A) No person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along 1) High Street between its junctions with Star Street and its junction with Cross Street 2) Cross Street for its entire length; 3) George Street between its junction with Cross Street to its junction with Star Street. 4) Star Street for its entire length; 5) St Thomas Square for its entire length; B) No person shall cause any vehicle to wait on both sides along 1) George Street between its junctions with Cross Street and Star Street 2) Cross Street between its junctions with George Street and Union Street.

The closure and restriction are required for safety during Ryde Children’s Carnival. The alternative routes will be signposted locally.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure & Temporary No Waiting At Any Time) Order No 2 2026.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for a period between 1530 hours and 2200 hours, on Thursday 03 September 2026, or when the event is finished, whichever is the sooner, A) No person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along 1) Esplanade on both sides for its entire length; 2) Dover Street for its entire length; 3) Park Road between its junctions with Dover Street and Star Street; 4) Star Street for its entire length; 5) High Street from its junction with Star Street and St Thomas Square; 6) St Thomas Square for its entire length; 7) Union Street for its entire length; 8) North Walk for its entire length. B) No person shall cause any vehicle to wait on both sides along 1) Dover Street between its junctions with Melville Street and Park Road; 2) Park Road between its junctions with Dover Street and Star Street. The closure and restriction are required for safety during Ryde Main Carnival. The alternative routes will be signposted locally.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road) Order No 4 2026.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for a period between 0900 hours and 1700 hours, on Monday 31 August 2026, or when the event is finished, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along 1) Market Street, for its entire length; 2) Saint James Street, for its entire length. Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one night shift between 2000 hours on Friday 21 August 2026 until 0400 hours on Saturday 22 August 2026, or when the works has been completed, no person shall cause any vehicle to exceed 10 mph Speed Restriction along A) Whippingham Road, East Cowes, for its entire length. On-street signage will depict the exact length of the restriction and Temporary 30 mph Speed Restriction along A) Whippingham Road, East Cowes, for its entire length B) Racecourse for its entire length, C) Lushington hill, for its entire length. On-street signage will depict the exact length of the restrictions. The restrictions are required to maintain a safe working area.

No speed limit imposed by this Order applies to vehicles falling within Regulation 3 (4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used when used in accordance with Regulation 3b (5) of those Regulations. “Special Forces” has the same meaning as defined in the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011.

The provisions of this Order are in the interests of road and pedestrian safety to maintain a safe working area and shall apply only at such times and to such extent as shall be indicated by the placing of the appropriate traffic signs prescribed by the current edition of the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions.

No vehicle or person may use or cause any animal to use the following roads: and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road were indicated by traffic signs.

These works may include carriageway and footway reconstruction, resurfacing works, reflective stud work and lining works.  In some cases, it may be necessary to close these sections of roads on more than one occasion within this timeframe. Exact dates, durations and access information will be communicated to affected businesses and residents via letter and on street advanced warning signs before the scheme commences. On-street signage will depict the exact length of the closures. Adverse weather will have an impact on this programme.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Lower Road, Brading, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restrictions) Order No 01 2026 – Lower Road, Brading will be closed for its entire length.

Notice is hereby given that the following Orders have been made under Section 21 of the Town Police Clauses Act 1847:-

• The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, East Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure & Temporary No Waiting At Any Time) Order No 1 2026

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for a period between 1600 hours and 2200 hours, on Saturday 22 August 2026, or when the event is finished, whichever is the sooner,

  1. A) No person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along 1) Beatrice Avene for its entire length. 2) Victoria Grove for its entire length; 3) York Avenue for its entire length. 4) Clarence Road for its entire length; 5) Minerva Road for its entire length. B) No person shall cause any vehicle to wait on both sides along 1) Beatrice Avene for its entire length 2) Victoria Grove for its entire length. 3) York Avenue for its entire length. 4) Clarence Road for its entire length. On-street signage will depict the exact length of the restrictions. The closure and restrictions are required for safety during East Cowes Carnival. The alternative routes will be signposted locally.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Sandown, Isle of Wight) (Temporary No parking and no Waiting and no loading at Any Time Parking Restrictions) Order No 2 2026

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for a period between 1700 hours and 2300 hours, on Wednesday 26 August 2026, or when the event is finished, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed or wait along a) Culver Parade for its entire length; b) Sandown Esplanade for its entire length.

The following roads will be closed as the parade proceeds – 1) High Street for its entire length; 2) Beachfield Road between its junctions with Royal Crescent and High Street; 3) Royal Crescent for its entire length; 4) Melville Street between its junctions with Royal Crescent and Fitzroy Street; 5) Fitzroy Street between its junctions with Melville Street and Station Avenue; 6) Station Avenue between its junctions with Fitzroy Street and Albert Road; 7) Albert Road between its junctions with Station Avenue and Victoria Road; 8) Victoria Road between its junctions with Albert Road and High Street; 9) Culver Parade for its entire length. The closure and restrictions are required for safety during Sandown’s Illuminated Carnival. The alternative routes will be signposted locally.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Yarmouth, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure & Temporary No Waiting At Any Time) Order No 1 2026

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 1500 hours and 1800 hours on Saturday 22 August 2026, or when the event is finished, whichever is the sooner.

  1. A) no person shall cause any non-event related vehicle to proceed along 1) Tennyson Road between its junctions with River Road and Tennyson Close; 2) St James Street for its entire length; 3) Bridge Road between its junctions with St James Street and The Quay; 4) The Quay for its entire length; 5) Quay Street for its entire length; 6) Market Square for its entire length; 7) High Street between its junctions with Market Square and Basketts Lane; 8) Basketts Lane for its entire length; 9) Victoria Road for its entire length; 10) Station Road for its entire length; 11) Mill Road for its entire length.
  2. B) no person shall cause any non-event related vehicle to wait along 1) Bridge Road between its junctions with St James Street and The Quay; 2) Victoria Road for its entire length; 3) Station Road for its entire length. This order is required in the interests of road safety during the Yarmouth Carnival Event. Alternative routes will be signposted.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Shanklin, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure & Temporary No Waiting at Any Time) Order No 4 2026

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that on Saturday 22 August 2026, between 2000 hours and 2300 hours, or when the event has finished, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any non-event related vehicle to proceed or wait along, 1) Hope Hill for its entire length; 2) Esplanade for its entire length. The closure and restriction are required for safety during the Shanklin Regatta Fireworks. The alternative route will be signposted locally.
