A new monthly Memory Café is to launch at Inver House care home in Bembridge next month, offering support and companionship to those living with dementia and their loved ones.
Hartford Care’s Inver House, on Foreland Road, will host the sessions on the first Tuesday of every month between 10:45 and 11:45, with the inaugural gathering taking place on Tuesday 7th July.
The first session will be attended by Lady Sally Grylls, a Bembridge resident and advocate for the care sector on the Isle of Wight.
The Memory Café aims to provide a welcoming and safe environment where people living with dementia, along with their families and carers, can reminisce, socialise and connect with others in the local community over hot drinks and cake.
Inver House has undergone significant investment in recent years. The 50-bedroom home provides residential, respite, day and end-of-life care, as well as specialist dementia support through its dedicated 32-bedroom Treetops suite within the Edwardian property.
Hartford Care, established in 2003, operates care homes across England and North Wales, with facilities on the Isle of Wight located in Bembridge, Ryde and Shanklin.
