Musicians from across the Isle of Wight are being invited to take to the stage in Totland this November as the Festival of Music returns following the success of last year’s inaugural event.
Entries are now open for the festival, which will be held at Christ Church in Totland on 28th November, running from 10:00-18:00.
Solo performers, ensembles, duets, instrumentalists, pianists, choirs and singers are all welcome to get involved, with each act allocated a time slot to perform their chosen piece; organisers recommend performances last no longer than 8 minutes.
Members of the public will also be welcome to attend throughout the day and enjoy the performances.
The event will conclude with a ‘Big Sing’, bringing together those who have performed during the festival for a musical finale.
A suggested entry fee of £5 will be collected, with all proceeds going to the West Wight Dementia Friendly Choir in Freshwater.
The choir is raising money to help establish further dementia-friendly choirs elsewhere on the Isle of Wight.
Last year’s first West Wight Music Festival was also staged at Christ Church and brought together soloists, ensembles, duets and choirs, with performers taking to the stage throughout the day.
The 2025 event raised more than £2,000 for charity.
