Ventnor Rugby Club celebrated a memorable promotion-winning campaign as players, coaches and volunteers were recognised at the club’s annual end-of-season awards evening.
The club’s annual dinner dance, held at The Ryde Castle Hotel on Saturday 13th June, brought together players, supporters and special guests to reflect on a hugely successful 2025/26 season.
Following a campaign that saw Ventnor crowned Hampshire Counties League champions and secure promotion, as well as reaching the semi-finals of the Community Cup, coaches and captains faced some difficult decisions in selecting this year’s award winners.

For the 2nd XV, Adam Wade was crowned Player of the Year, with Tony Jacobson receiving the Most Improved Player award.

Josh Ford picked up the John Adams Young Player of the Year trophy, Alec Bulpitt was recognised as Coaches’ Player of the Year, and Tom Branagh finished the campaign as the club’s Top Try Scorer.

Luke Butler received the Tristan Price Players’ Player of the Year award, while Lewis ‘Jewy’ Jones was voted Supporters’ Player of the Year.

The Clubman of the Year honour was shared by Bradley Francis and Molly Ford in recognition of their outstanding contribution to the club.
Adding to the celebrations, head coach Damien Marriott was presented with the prestigious Hampshire RFU Coach of the Year award.

Special guests at the ceremony included Jeannette Adams, who presented the John Adams Young Player of the Year award, and Fiona Duncan, who presented the Tristan Price Players’ Player of the Year trophy.
