Magistrates urged an Apse Heath man to “stay out of trouble” as they fined him for possessing cannabis.
Daniel Sweet, 35, of Newport Road in Apse Heath, admitted a single count of possession of a controlled drug of class-B when he appeared at the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court last week (Friday).
The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) told the court that on the 14th December, Police seized a pill bag full of cannabis from Sweet’s address.
The 35-year-old was last in court back in April, the court heard.
Defending Sweet, his solicitor Nick Muir said that his client was currently on probation and was doing “really well”. He added that Sweet, a general builder by trade, said their had been a “huge change” in his life in the last few months.
Sweet is currently on a suspended sentence order (SSO) which has already been varied 2 times, the court heard.
Magistrates, who urged Sweet to “stay out of trouble” as they passed tehri sentence down upon him, fined Sweet £160. He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and a £32 surcharge fee.
