More than 50 organisations from across the Isle of Wight are preparing to bring theatre, carnival, music, food, nature and more to communities as part of the 6-week CAN YOU HEAR US? celebration.
The programme will get underway on Friday 11th September and continue until Saturday 24th October, with events and activities taking place across the Island.
For the best part of a year, organisations involved in the project have been delivering free events and activities, while others have been working behind the scenes ahead of the main celebration.
Preparations have included developing shows, planning workshops, hand-making costumes and curating exhibitions.
Organisers say the programme will span theatre, carnival, music, food, nature, craft and folklore, with most activities either free or low-cost.
Events will largely take place within Island communities, as well as at the new travelling Ventnor Exchange Arena.
Those behind CAN YOU HEAR US? describe the project as a celebration run by local people, for local people, taking what is already happening across the Isle of Wight and bringing it together over 6 weeks.
The ambition is to showcase the Isle of Wight as a progressive, ambitious and creative place to live and work, with everyone invited to get involved.
