The British Red Cross appears to be eyeing a move to Savoy Court in Newport, just 100 metres from its existing charity shop.
Mr Les Bailey has applied to the Isle of Wight Council for advertisement consent for British Red Cross signage at the Town Lane premises.
The proposals include 1 non-illuminated fascia sign, 2 illuminated hanging signs and 8 window graphics.
Solent Beds and Furniture occupied the Savoy Court store for around 10 years before relocating to Newport High Street in 2024. Prior to that, it was Dabells Furniture.
The unit could now be given a new lease of life, with the planning application indicating that the British Red Cross is looking to establish a shop at the premises.
Its existing Newport shop is located just around 100 metres away.
Although the plans point towards a relocation, there has been no confirmation that the charity’s current shop will close.
No details have been provided as to when the British Red Cross could open at Savoy Court.
