Monday 22nd – Friday 26th June 2026
- Amy Beer, 25, Scarrots Lane, Newport – stole groceries and cleaning products worth £113.62 from B&M. Fined £80, ordered to pay £113.62 compensation and £85 costs.
- Makaide Shotton, 27, Sun Hill, Cowes – sentenced together for aggravated vehicle taking causing damage, driving while over the cocaine and benzoylecgonine drug limits, being in charge of a vehicle while over the cocaine and benzoylecgonine limits, driving without a licence and driving without insurance. Received a community order until June 2028 with a six-month drug rehabilitation requirement and up to 35 rehabilitation activity days, fined £40 and £123, ordered to pay £85 costs, £114 surcharge, disqualified from driving for 24 months (extended test required) for the driving offences and a further 12-month disqualification for the “in charge” offences.
- Rhys Woods, 18, Patrick Haugh Road, Arncott, Bicester – stole alcohol worth £20.60 and, in a separate offence sentenced at the same hearing, stole 10 Buzz Ball alcoholic drinks worth £42 from Sainsbury’s, Ryde. Ordered to pay compensation totalling £62.60.
- Shaun Austin, 34, Avenue Road, Sandown – sentenced together for driving while disqualified, driving without insurance and two offences of failing to surrender to court bail. Received a six-week suspended prison sentence for the driving offence, concurrent 21-day suspended prison sentences for each bail offence (all suspended for 12 months), disqualified from driving for a further 18 months and 17 days and ordered to pay £300 prosecution costs.
- Finn Barker, 25, Thornhill Road, Steeton – admitted criminal damage after spitting on a police vehicle and separately using threatening or abusive behaviour towards a police officer at St Mary’s Hospital. Ordered to pay £100 compensation, fined £320, £85 costs and £128 surcharge.
- Susan Westwell, 42, Yarborough Road, East Cowes – assaulted two police officers during the same incident. Received a six-month conditional discharge, ordered to pay a £26 surcharge and no compensation.
- Bulent Korkmaz, 48, Wilton Road, Shanklin – sentenced together for intentional harassment using threatening or abusive behaviour and a separate public order offence. Received a community order with up to 10 rehabilitation activity days, fined £123 and £246, ordered to pay £85 costs and £114 surcharge.
- Bradley Sparshott, 34, York Avenue, East Cowes – stole two bottles of wine worth £12 from the Co-op, East Cowes. Ordered to pay £12 compensation.
- Sean Lloyd-Fagan, 35, Medina Breeze Walk, Island Harbour, Newport – drove while disqualified and without insurance. Fined £833, ordered to pay £85 costs and disqualified from driving for three years, six months and five days.
- Conna Woodford, 28, The Rogers, Shanklin – admitted drink-driving in Sandown. Fined £120, ordered to pay £85 costs and £48 surcharge and banned from driving for 16 months, reducible by 16 weeks on completion of a rehabilitation course.
- Anthony Harris, 58, Monkton Street, Ryde – used threatening or abusive behaviour in Shanklin. Fined £80 and ordered to pay £85 prosecution costs.
- Amber Gagen, 26, Green Street, Ryde – stole a Buzz Ball alcoholic drink worth £4.20 from Sainsbury’s. Received a six-month conditional discharge, ordered to pay £4.20 compensation and £85 costs.
- Callum Murdoch, 31, Cornwall Road, Ventnor – sentenced together for drug-driving, driving without a licence and driving without insurance. Fined £230, ordered to pay £85 costs and £92 surcharge and disqualified from driving for 16 months.
- Daniel Sweet, 35, Newport Road, Sandown – possessed cannabis. Fined £80, ordered to pay £85 costs and the cannabis was forfeited and destroyed.
- Emma Austin, 44, York Avenue, East Cowes – stole a bottle of wine worth £10 from the Co-op, East Cowes. Ordered to pay £10 compensation.
- Benjamin Reid, 48, Longmead Road, Ryde – found guilty after trial of drug-driving. Fined £120, ordered to pay £120 costs and £48 surcharge and disqualified from driving for 12 months.
- David Marsh, 35, no fixed abode – possessed cannabis. Fined £80 and the cannabis was forfeited and destroyed.
- Stacey Grimes, 38, St Saviours Road, Totland Bay – admitted drink-driving at Bouldnor, Yarmouth. Fined £120, ordered to pay £120 costs and £48 surcharge and disqualified from driving for 12 months, reducible by three months on completion of a rehabilitation course.
- Thomas Fowler, 31, Sunset Close, Freshwater – possessed cannabis. Fined £80, ordered to pay £85 costs and £32 surcharge and the cannabis was forfeited and destroyed.
- Ronnie Morris, 32, Josephs Way, Shanklin – possessed cocaine and cannabis. Fined £120 for the cocaine offence and £80 for the cannabis offence, ordered to pay £85 costs and £80 surcharge, with both drugs forfeited and destroyed.
