This is your weekly round-up of some of the latest court cases heard at the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court.

- Donna-Marie Fay, 37, Leed Street, Sandown – stole chocolate bars worth £4.80 from the Co-op in Sandown and was fined £54, ordered to pay £4.80 compensation and £85 costs.
- Amy Parker, 29, Prospect Road, Newport – failed to identify the driver of a vehicle when required by police. She received a 6-month conditional discharge, 6 penalty points, and was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £26 surcharge.
- Jane Kinnaird, 52, Coronation Close, Great Wakering – used a handheld mobile phone while driving in Wootton. She was fined £630, ordered to pay £100 costs and a £252 surcharge, and received 6 penalty points.
- Yvette Henry, 42, Tower Mews, Lake Hill, Sandown – failed to provide driver details to police. She was fined £192, ordered to pay a £77 surcharge and disqualified from driving for 6 months.
- James Coffen, 41, Croydon Close, Southampton – drove while over the legal limit for a specified controlled drug in Ryde. He was fined £120, ordered to pay £85 costs and banned from driving for 12 months.
- Ryan Tosdevin, 31, Whitepit Lane, Newport – admitted drink-driving an e-scooter on Carisbrooke Road, Newport. He was fined £80, ordered to pay £85 costs and a £114 surcharge as well as made subject to a community order with up to 10 rehabilitation activity days and banned from driving for 23 months, reducible on completion of a course.
- Kyle Parry, 30, Keyhaven Drive, Havant – assaulted two police officers at St Mary’s Hospital, Newport. He received a community order lasting until June 2028, must complete 150 hours of unpaid work and up to 35 rehabilitation activity days, and was ordered to pay £400 compensation.
- Aaran Wood, 34, The Brambles, Apse Heath, Sandown – admitted a series of shop thefts from Tesco and Waitrose and was ordered to pay £25.15 compensation. Wood was also ordered to pay £100 compensatation after he assaulted a man in Newport.
- Jake Woodford, 29, Hookes Way, Newport – admitted numerous shop thefts from TK Maxx and received a community order until December 2027 including 12 months of mental health treatment and up to 15 rehabilitation activity days. He was also ordered to pay £1,000 compensation.
- Jessica Vella, 35, Wellesley Way, Newport – admitted multiple shop thefts from stores including TK Maxx, B&M, Tesco, Asda and Pan Stores, and admitted failing to provide a Class A drug sample. She received a community order until December 2027 with up to 20 rehabilitation activity days and was ordered to pay £1537.49 compensation to the affected stores.
