Over £600 has been raised for Niton football player Walker Milsome, who suffered a leg break in a Junior B Cup game against High Park at Seaclose on Saturday (9th March). It is believed that the unfortunate accident may lead to Walker being unable to work for the next 6 weeks. A GoFundMe page has been set up for Walker by his friend, Ryan McDowall. Ryan wrote:
“Raising funds for my mate, who’ll be off work for a little while. Suffered a double leg break at football today playing for Niton. Any donations will be greatly appreciated.”
High Park 1st team have had a shocking disciplinary record leading to the suspension of their team earlier in the year. However, the High Park Reserve team have avoided controversial incidents this season – until now. Responding to criticism of his club on social media, High Park manager Stuart Woodmore has said:
“High Park Reserves did nothing wrong. All 3 match officials said it was a 50/50 tackle. “All at High Park FC wish the Niton Reserve lad a speedy recovery. “This is the 1st time in running the club that this has happened.”
High Park 1st team player ‘Buzz’ Burrows suffered a leg break earlier in the season.

Nowdays there is a GoFundMe me page for anything
That is the risk if playing football, if you can’t afford to play
don’t play.
It’s not an open cheque book.
No funds for the elderly who break hips or other bones, the risk is a probability, so don’t play….
I am thinking of booking an holiday of a lifetime
Shall I set up a GoFundMe page!
Lol
High Park Tavern again what the hell are they doing still being allowed to play. Isle of Wight FA you are cowards for allowing this. Everyone knew this would happen. Poor young man but nice to see the island players coming together. This team of scumbags and the dive of a pub are the lowest of the low, anybody associated with the club or the pub hang your head in shame.
nothing to do with the isle of wight FA. it’s a hampshire problem
Paul your late for dinner. You’ve got school tomorrow.
Maybe think about getting some income protection insurance in future young man.
These go f me are a p take these days.he ll be claiming sick money whilst off anyway.just like rest of us do! So many beggers out there it embarrassing. Playing football at your own risk then crying sympathy ? WHAT A JOKE .I have a illness…gimmi a go
I blame the fools donating
You dont have to donate or care about his family circumstances you could just stay under your nasty damp cold rocks!
Your obv one of the gullables donating!! Do shutup
This is unacceptable, he’ll get sickness pay, and his family can support him. Walker by name but not by nature.
My neighbour needs his van for work as he is a self employed carpenter, imagine his surprise after driving it around the local banger track at the weekend smashing into other cars and now it’s broken. Can we set a a go fund me raising page for my neighbour please.? £50,000 should do it.
No. Use common sense if you are working and rely on an income
Why does he need the money? For what purpose? What’s he going to spend it on?
If he’s working, he’ll get sick pay. If he’s not, then he’s no worse off.
I think we’ve all probably broken bones at some stage, but how many of us have taken handouts from other people because of the mishap?
