High Park Football Club have been suspended from Division 1 of the Harwoods Isle of Wight League for alleged violent conduct – thought to be the only such suspension of a local team in almost 40 years. This decision follows the abandonment of a game against Northwood St Johns at Cowes Community Club after a mass brawl between the 2 teams broke out. It’s said that 2 Northwood players and their manager were punched. A spectator present at the game said:
“It was like something from a spaghetti Western bar fight – only worse. In over 40 years of watching Isle of Wight football, I’ve never seen anything like it.”
Andrew Justice from the Isle of Wight Divisional Football Association has said:
“I can confirm that the League Management Committee (LMC) of the Harwoods Renault Saturday League has suspended High Park FC’s fixtures pending the completion of the Hampshire FA’s investigation into the unacceptable behaviour of players representing the club, leading to the abandonment of the fixture on 16th December against Northwood SJ FC. “In my 37 plus years involved in grassroots football, this is the 1st such suspension I have encountered. “The LMC will discuss the circumstances further at our next meeting on the 8th of January 2024.”
High Park Reserves will not be affected by the suspension as Mr Jusice has said:
“The suspension applies only to the 1st team as the reserves have not caused any problems so far while playing in Combination 2.”
Good decision. Now these group bully thugs can go back to starting fights in bars and intimidating the neighbours from ghettos they crawl out from, and expend their testosterone on creating more clones with the fish wives to ensure the next messed up generation ends up the same only worse.

This is mainly on the manager, he sets the tone and style of play, if they are knocking lumps out of the opposition then it is with his approval.

Whilst suspending the team is the right decision, I hope that the individuals involved will receive lengthy bans otherwise they could just register with another team, or turn out for their reserves.

If anyone has had the pleasure of watching this lot, they will realise what a bunch of complete and utter low lifes they are. They pass it off as “it’s a man’s game” but they intentionally go out to break legs etc. When I played in the 80’s the game was tough but fair, I am genuinely shocked there are this many scum bags on the Isle of Wight…and somehow they all play for the same team. The worst part of it when I watched, is the wife’s and kids join in and call the ref a cu** etc. These type of people are like leaches and are a drain on normal society….fingers crossed they get kicked out of IOW football, before referees and other clubs pack it in or just refuse to play them.
Surely the Councils or authorities who rent these vile, twisted legalised thugs who have never grown up, violent troublemakers a pitch and changing room should have a right to cancel any contract with such now?
Why should decent people in Bembridge be subsidising the lower end of the working class from Oakfield and other base areas?
I am not sure what contract the council would have with the teams that rent their pitches, however, would not expect it to include a clause related to their conduct on the pitch…more likely around the use of the facilities i.e making sure changing rooms are clean etc.
They just need kicking out of the iow football league. They are genuinely damaging football on the Isle of Wight, and it’s impacting the wider community that want to use facilities near to where High Park FC are playing…i.e I know a couple of families who no longer take their children to Bembridge play park when High Park FC play there on a Saturday for fear of seeing a fight or hearing some of the worst language possible!
Odd that this sort always have common women who swear and curse thinking they are hard, and their vile retarded children clearly have no hope with the ‘probable’ father intent on violence and the dim womb owners, for Mothers in the true sense they are anything but, happy to have some ugly, both inward and outward, lug fertilise the vile content of such creating ugly cretins resembling smaller versions of those on the pitch.
Grey and black clothing the uniform of the lower elements in society, using football as the excuse to legally damage people shows them for what they are. If war comes let’s hope they are the first to be called up, then we will see how brave they are, how loyal their women behave.
And this is why football is a stupid sport and should be banned.

I expect the majority of the team couldn’t handle their big fat come downs from the night before. Hopefully if the 1st team can’t play they will banned the players from playing in the reserves.
I think the problem is the young guys who were playing 2-3 years ago have just stopped playing why I ask ,I remember 3 years ago at seaclose ryde saints v wroxall and ryde manager Andy brown saying how good it was two see both goalkeepers with a combined age under 40 ,jay moreno from the county press was telling everyone about this a,ading goalkeeper at wroxall ,where is he now ,where are the other young players
so Let’s hope that the harshest of punishments are dished out. The manager should get a life ban from being involved in any Isle of Wight football including watching. All players should get a 1 year ban from all football on the island. Any player involved in any of the violence so red cards should get a 2 year ban from all island football. All the committee of this excuse for a football club should receive life bans from Isle of Wight football. All the scumbag supporters should receive trespass notices from all island grounds, and the offspring of the manager should not be allowed to play youth football.. and every decent person who reads this should boycott that shit hole of a pub they play for.. sorry but they have to learn
