A man’s body was discovered on a secluded pathway near the beach at Binstead yesterday (Sunday), leading to a police investigation.
Police were called at just before 17:00 after the body of a man was found on a pathway off of Church Road, Binstead.
Cordons were quickly erected on the footpath between Players Beach and Ladies Walk, and detectives from Newport CID called in.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has confirmed that the man’s next of kin have been informed.
The force say the death is not being treated as suspicious.
A file is being prepared for the coroner.
