The Isle of Wight College has announced that it has achieved the industry-renowned ‘Skills for Health Quality Mark’.
The mark is the only standard for the UK’s health sector which defines and endorses superior delivery of learning and training that healthcare employers need for a highly motivated and effective workforce. Awarded by the National Skills Academy for Health, the purpose of the Skills for Health Quality Mark is to give health employers greater confidence when investing in workforce development and make it easier for employers to identify and select high quality training.
The Isle of Wight College’s Health and Social Care Department delivers full-time courses as well as part-time courses in this area. The part-time courses include Levels 2, 3 and 5 Diplomas as well as a range of distance learning courses in the health and care related subjects delivered to over 1,000 learners per academic year. This department also offers apprenticeships in Health and Social Care.
By achieving the Skills for Health Quality Mark, The Isle of Wight College has demonstrated that it meets the exacting standards that health sector employers expect.
