Members of Shanklin & Sandown Golf Club have raised more than £1,200 for Mountbatten Hospice during the ladies’ annual fundraising day.
Held on Tuesday 8th June, the popular event saw the club’s ladies invite one man to join each team for a 12-hole Texas Scramble competition.
Taking top spot were Steph Hart, Chris Ellis, Hazel Smith and Carl Smith. Ronnie Hirst, Jacky Cook, Bev Carroll and Kathy Elliott finished in 2nd place, while Sandie Gallard-Jupp, Julie Miller, Sue Churcher and Robert Oliver claimed 3rd.
Anna Garriock also picked up the nearest-the-pin prize on the 9th hole.
Away from the course, members organised a bring-and-buy sale featuring home-made cakes and biscuits, alongside a raffle and tombola.
Thanks to the generosity of everyone involved, the day raised £1,226.50 for Mountbatten Hospice.
