Islanders are being invited to test their aim and raise money for a worthy cause at a darts-themed fundraiser in Ryde this weekend.
Isle of Wight Round Table will host the event at Tesco Ryde on Saturday 13th June between 09:00 and 17:00 in aid of the Isle of Wight Prostate Cancer Support Group.
Shoppers are encouraged to stop by before or after their weekly shop to find out more about the support group’s work and take part in a friendly darts challenge.
Participants will have 3 darts to score as many points as possible, with the highest scorers competing for a number of prizes including a £50 Tesco shopping voucher, a bottle of whisky and a children’s karting session at Wight Karting.
The event is open to children aged 8 and above, with child-friendly darts available to ensure younger participants can safely take part.
Funds raised will help support the Isle of Wight Prostate Cancer Support Group, which provides information, friendship and support to men affected by prostate cancer and their families across the Island.
Members of Isle of Wight Round Table and representatives from the support group will be on hand throughout the day to answer questions and encourage the community to get involved.
Adult entry costs £4, with children able to take part for £2.
Whether aiming for a maximum score or simply supporting a local cause, organisers say everyone is welcome to join in.
