A 20-year-old convicted sex offender will learn his fate next month after being caught again, this time with nearly 100 child sex abuse images including those of children as young as 4 years old.
Jake Moss, of Leed Street in Sandown, admitted a trio of indecent image offences when he appeared at the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court last week (16th June).
Serena Edwards, for the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) told the court that on 20th May 2025, Police were alerted to the offences after a monitoring software on Moss’s smartphone detected the images.
The court heard how a total of 44x Category A images, 33x Category B and 13x Category C images were seized on Moss’ phone. The seized images depicted children as young as 4, court heard.
Moss is already on the sex offenders register following a conviction for a similar offence in 2020.
Magistrates, who deemed their sentencing powers insufficient, sent the case to the Isle of Wight Crown Court, where Moss will appear for sentencing on 24th July.
