A Ryde man has been jailed for 17 months and banned from driving for more than 3 years after admitting dangerous driving offences committed in the county of Kent.
35-year-old Sean Lloyd-Fagan, of Ashey Road, appeared before the Isle of Wight Crown Court after offences committed in Maidstone on 16th November 2024 – some 17 months ago.
Lloyd-Fagan pleaded guilty to dangerous driving after driving a Lexus IS220D along several roads in Maidstone, including the A249, Bearsted Road, Sittingbourne Road, Square Hill Road, Mote Road, Wrens Cross and Watt Tyler Way.
He also admitted driving whilst disqualified and without insurance, as well as causing £500 worth of damage to glassware and a barrier at the Orida Hotels Maidstone car park.
For the dangerous driving offence, Lloyd-Fagan was jailed for 17 months and banned from driving for 3 years and 8 months. He must also pass an extended driving test before being allowed back on the road.
A 3-month prison sentence imposed for driving whilst disqualified will run concurrently with the 17-month term, with no separate penalties handed down for the insurance and criminal damage offences.
The 35-year-old later admitted failing to surrender to custody at the Isle of Wight Crown Court on 1st May 2026 after being granted bail following an appearance before Isle of Wight Magistrates’ Court on 9th April. No separate penalty was imposed for that offence.
Lloyd-Fagen is no stranger to being featured on Island Echo… In 2012, he was involved in a conspiracy to kidnap investigation on the Isle of Wight. Then, in 2018 the Police issued an appeal after he was accused of biting someone’s ear off. It was in 2021 that he was jailed for 18 weeks following a pub fight in Ryde.
