A Sandown man arrested following an alleged incident involving a teenage boy on board a bus has now been charged with a public order offence.
Kieran Percy, 38, of Fort Street, has been charged with using threatening or abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress.
He has been bailed with conditions and is due to appear before the Isle of Wight Magistrates’ Court on 17th July.
Following a review of all available evidence, Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has confirmed that Percy will face no further action in relation to the allegations of sexual assault and making threats to kill, for which he was originally arrested.
As previously reported by Island Echo, Police launched an investigation after reports that a teenage boy had been sexually touched while travelling on a bus on the Isle of Wight.

Whether innocent or guilty, after the way Hampshire Police acted over Henry Nowak, how can anyone hold them with any credibility? How can a judge or jury believe any report they make? The thought of them attending any incident and protecting us is terrifying. It’s a sad day that we cannot rely on our own police force to protect victims of crime.
What a pathetic comment . I bet if one of your family are being beaten up you call the police for help.
Does the truth frighten you? The truth is Henry Nowak was a victim and it ended badly. Hampshire Police did NOT help him. Quite the opposite. It seems your head in the sand is pathetic. Do you 100% think Hampshire police are 100% credible? Idiot.
Certain clothing says alot about people, hoodies are not the
best advertisement.
Some shops and venues ban people from wearing hoodies
maybe Southern Vectis should ban people from wearing them
if the goods are up.
Strange but true.
What goods?
Sorry typo Hoods are up.
What a daft comment – I know plenty of people who wear hoodies and can refrain from committing crimes!
