A thrill-seeking member of staff at St Catherine’s School in Ventnor has taken fundraising to new heights by completing a wing walk and raising nearly £3,000 for the school.
Marc Taylor, Assistant Head of Science and Astrology at St Catherine’s, took to the skies this summer for his latest fundraising challenge in support of pupils at the school.
The Level 3 Wing Walk saw Marc reach heights of up to 2,000ft while experiencing a series of aerial manoeuvres, including loops, rolls and barrel rolls.
His efforts have raised nearly £3,000, with the money supporting St Catherine’s ongoing fundraising and helping to provide opportunities and resources for children with speech, language and communication needs.
The wing walk is the latest in a series of challenges Marc has undertaken for the Ventnor school.
He has now raised more than £5,000 for St Catherine’s through challenge events, having previously completed a skydive and abseiled down the Spinnaker Tower.
St Catherine’s has described Marc as one of its “fundraising superheroes” and thanked him for his continued support.
