Sandown-based home improvement specialist Island Windows has been awarded Safe Contractor certification in recognition of its commitment to achieving the highest standards of health and safety.
Safe Contractor is one of the UK’s leading third-party accreditation schemes, recognising organisations that demonstrate excellence in health and safety management. The certification is trusted by thousands of businesses across the UK when selecting contractors to undertake work.
Employing 24 people, Island Windows has built a strong reputation across the Isle of Wight for supplying and installing high-quality double glazing, doors and conservatories, alongside its dedicated window and door service and repair division.
Achieving Safe Contractor accreditation reflects the company’s ongoing investment in protecting its employees, customers, and members of the public.
Dominic Winram, Owner of Island Windows, said:
“Achieving Safe Contractor accreditation marks another important milestone for Island Windows. The safety of our employees, customers and the properties we work in, has always been a top priority.
“This accreditation demonstrates our commitment to continually improving our working practices and maintaining the highest possible standards. We are proud to provide our customers with the reassurance that every project is carried out safely, professionally and responsibly.”
Tim Jackson, Chief Executive Officer of Safe Contractor, said:
“Major organisations simply cannot afford to run the risk of employing contractors who are unable to demonstrate that they have robust health and safety policies and procedures in place.
“More companies need to recognise the importance of adopting effective risk management practices, as Island Windows has done. The company’s high standards set an excellent example for others within the industry.
“Safe Contractor plays a vital role in helping clients meet their compliance requirements while supporting contractors throughout the accreditation process.”
As Island Windows continues to invest in training, compliance and customer service, the Safe Contractor accreditation further reinforces its position as one of the Isle of Wight’s leading home improvement companies.
