A teenage boy has been arrested on suspicion of driving whilst on drugs after his dirtbike collided with a van on High Street, Sandown.
Policing units were called to Sandown High Street at around 12:27, where it was reported that a dirtbike had collided with a van along the busy stretch of road.
As a result of the collision, the rider subsequently ran from the scene in an attempt to avoid law enforcement; however was later stopped by a member of the public.
The adolescent male was arrested at the scene on suspicion of driving whilst unfit through drugs, and he remains in police custody at this time.
It is unclear whether any injuries were sustained.
