The Isle of Wight Council’s Cabinet is heading out on the road, as part of efforts of senior councillors to tackle more local issues.
Thursday’s (13th September) Cabinet meeting in Brading will be the first held at a number of different locations across the Island over the coming months.
In addition to the formal meetings, which are open to the public, members will also privately meet with representatives from nearby town and parish councils.
Council leader Councillor Dave Stewart said:
“We’re very keen to make sure we’re at the heart of our local communities.
“This move will help us engage more closely with the public and with those serving on town and parish councils all over the Island.
“We’re encouraging people to get in touch about topics they wish us to consider.”
This week’s meeting at St Mary’s the Virgin Church Hall, Brading starts at 17:00.
