The driver of a Citroen is being checked over in hospital after suffering a medical episode and ploughing into 2 parked cars in Seaview this morning (Wednesday).
Police and paramedics were called to Seafield Road at 06:22 to reports of a 3-vehicle road traffic collision.
Officers arrived at the scene to discover that a Citroen had collided with 2 parked cars – a Mini One and a Honda CR-V – following what is understood to be a medical episode at the wheel.
The Citroen was travelling down Fairy Road and around the bend into Seafield Road when the crash occurred.
The driver has been conveyed to St Mary’s Hospital for further assessment and treatment.
The road was closed for a time but has since re-opened.

Maybe if drivers were subject to a theory test every year that also checked their fitness to drive we’ll have less of this as well as better driving standards.
Oh yea I can see the new tool at the dvsa driving centre, “insert finger here and we can for see the future for any possible car crashes to illness”.
