Freshwater Bay Golf Club’s annual Ladies Club Championships were held over 2 days this week, with golfers battling dry conditions and a strong but warm breeze.
The competition took place on Wednesday and Thursday, with challenging conditions testing the field throughout the opening day.
Sammi Keen claimed the Ladies Club Championship gross title after rounds of 78 and 76 for a two-round total of 154.
Kathryn Acklam finished second on 175, while Joanne Wright took third place on countback after also recording a total of 175.
In the net competition, Paula Burke came out on top with rounds of 74 and 70 for a winning total of 144.
Sheila Richard was runner-up on 145, with Joanne Wright finishing third on 147.
Penny Diez recorded the best individual net round of the championship with a score of 71.
Sheila Richard also claimed the Over-70s prize.
