Cowes-based marine safety specialist Spinlock has been announced as the Official Safety Partner of North Sails Cowes Week, strengthening the link between 2 of the town’s best-known names ahead of the regatta’s bicentenary edition.
The partnership brings together the internationally recognised marine safety brand with one of sailing’s most iconic events, with a shared focus on promoting safety on the water and encouraging participation in the sport.
Throughout the regatta, Spinlock will provide its award-winning Deckvest life jackets to North Sails Cowes Week’s volunteer team, who work behind the scenes to deliver racing each day.
The company will also support Family Day on 2nd August and Women’s Day on 4th August, with Spinlock prizes and vouchers awarded to winning boats.
Following racing on Women’s Day, Spinlock and The Magenta Project will host a reception on the Cowes Yacht Haven balcony, with the first 200 drinks provided free of charge.
The event aims to bring female sailors together after racing, offering an opportunity to network, share experiences and learn more about The Magenta Project’s mentoring programme.

Spinlock, which has designed and manufactured marine equipment in Cowes for more than 50 years, is recognised internationally for its sailing hardware, safety equipment and marine technology used by professional sailors, racing teams, cruising yachts and commercial operators.
