A 56-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of possessing Class A drugs with intent to supply following an incident in Newport this afternoon (Thursday).
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary were called at 13:48 to reports of a man being verbally abused by a woman on Nelson Road.
Officers attended and arrested a 56-year-old woman on suspicion of breach of court bail, and possession of class A drugs with intent to supply.
Throughout the afternoon, officers have been seen leaving a residential address with evidence bags.
The force have confirmed that the woman remains in custody at this time.
