Father Christmas is making the journey from Lapland to the Isle of Wight once again this December, with 8 dates confirmed for the return of the popular Santa Specials at the Isle of Wight Steam Railway.
The much-loved festive event will return to Havenstreet on 12th, 13th and 19th-24th December, giving families the chance to enjoy a magical steam train journey and meet Father Christmas in his enchanting grotto.
Santa has been visiting the Isle of Wight Steam Railway for more than 30 years and will once again be joined by his elves as he welcomes excited youngsters ahead of Christmas Day.
Every child attending will receive a present from Father Christmas, with all ticket packages including a journey aboard one of the railway’s steam trains.
A range of additional festive activities will also be available throughout the event, while the railway’s food outlets will be open, serving Christmas specials, drinks, snacks and full meals.
The Santa Specials have proved extremely popular in previous years, with tickets often selling out quickly.
Families hoping to secure a visit are being encouraged to book in advance through the railway’s website at www.iwsteamrailway.co.uk.
Those travelling by public transport can also take advantage of the new Southern Vectis Route 33 bus service, which provides direct access to Havenstreet Station from both Newport and Ryde.
