Waitrose shoppers are being urged to check their kitchens after the Food Standards Agency (FSA) recalled a batch of Waitrose & Partners Chocolate Chip Brioche Rolls over fears they may contain pieces of hard plastic and metal.
The recall applies to Waitrose & Partners 8 Chocolate Chip Brioche Rolls with batch code B26177 and a best before date of 26th July 2026.
According to the FSA, the affected rolls may contain fragments of hard plastic and metal, making them unsafe to eat and posing a potential risk of injury.
Customers who have purchased the affected product from the Waitrose store in East Cowes, or any other Waitrose branch, are being advised not to consume the rolls and instead return the product to their nearest Waitrose & Partners store for a full refund. A receipt is not required.
Point of sale notices are being displayed in Waitrose stores to inform customers about the recall and explain what action they should take.
