Southern Vectis have adjusted their bus timetables in response to the lower than usual passenger numbers on services across the Island.
As of today, special timetables will apply on Routes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 9 and 37.
A normal Monday to Friday service will operate on Routes 6, 7, 8, 12, 22, 24, 32, 38H and 39.
Further adjustments made be needed as more information is released by the Government over the coming days.
Passengers are being asked to use contactless payments or the clickit2ride app. However, cash will still be accepted.

Because the Island looks like a safe haven tourist will think this is an ideal place to come for a break. So, keep us safe Bob Seely & Dave Stewart & shut the Isle of Wight to tourists & unnecessary visitors. Guernsey have done it. Shut the ferries down, to all but food & medical freight. DO IT NOW BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE.
I have to use the buses to get shopping, and always worried about other passengers spreading germs, so many of them cough and sneeze loudly and don’t cover their mouths with anything, and if they do, they just use their hand, which they then grab the rails with. I have to try not to touch anything and try not to breathe too deep. I just hope there are not too many people on the bus today. Then of course the worry will be that if not *enough* people use them, they might stop the buses altogether ,and then where will people be who need them?
The buses are still running, but surely the drivers should now have the Perspex Screens up to protect them and us, come on Vectis ( Go Ahead ) !!!! if the food stores can do it so can you. Really they should have them anyway, to protect them from some of the crap that they have to cart around and we have to put up with when travelling
