Families can enjoy an afternoon of live orchestral music, steam train rides and children’s entertainment later this month, with up to 3 children able to attend free with every paying adult.
The Isle of Wight Symphony Orchestra will return to the Isle of Wight Steam Railway on Saturday 25th July for its annual Steam Railway Proms family concert.
Starting at 15:00, the popular event will see the Island’s own orchestra perform a selection of well-known music from much-loved family films, including The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Moana, E.T. and The Railway Children.
The concert will conclude with the traditional flag-waving Proms finale, inviting the audience to join in with a celebratory singalong.
Away from the music, families can enjoy a range of attractions, including a replica of the famous Chitty Chitty Bang Bang car, face painting and other children’s activities.
Visitors can choose between concert-only tickets or a combined ticket that includes travel on the Isle of Wight Steam Railway.
In a family-friendly offer, every adult purchasing a ticket can bring up to 3 children under the age of 18 free of charge, with complimentary train travel also included for those children.
Tickets can be booked online via the Isle of Wight Steam Railway’s website or by calling 01983 882204.
