Shanklin Ladies beat Wight Eagles at Cowes Enterprise College to reach the semi finals of the Hampshire Invitational Cup at Cowes Enterprise College on Sunday (24th November).
The game was due to be played at the County Ground but a waterlogged pitch forced the game to be played on the 4G pitch at Cowes.

“We’re really pleased with today’s result in what were awful conditions thanks to Hurricane Bert.
“Over the course of the 90 minutes, we had the better of the big moments within the game. Defensively we were strong and in attack took our chances and scored some lovely goals.
“We now look forward to semi final.”
For Wight Eagles, manager Dan Verstraeten said:
“We set out with a plan and a structure today. I felt we really dominated in possession and played some great football, but the result always looks one sided when you concede goals. But that wasn’t the case.
“Good luck to Shanklin in the semi- finals.”
