This is your weekly round-up of some of the latest court cases heard at the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court.

• Terence Perkins, 41, of Newport – admitted two counts of criminal damage and a public order offence at Howard House and Lower Hyde Holiday Park. He was made subject to a community order until June 2028 with an 18-month alcohol treatment requirement and 30 rehabilitation activity days, and was ordered to pay £263 compensation.
• Jamie Dyer, 46, of High Park Road, Ryde – breached a non-molestation order by contacting his former partner. He received a community order until December 2027 with 120 hours unpaid work and 35 rehabilitation activity days, was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £114 surcharge, and was made subject to a restraining order until December 2027.
• Ryan Hopewell, 25, of Howard House, Newport – was fined £40 for failing to surrender to bail and received an eight-week suspended prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, for breaching a restraining order. He was ordered to pay £85 costs.
• Jamie Matlock, 45, of Langbridge, Newchurch – was sentenced together for numerous shop thefts, a burglary at a Co-op store, assault by beating and breaches of a community protection notice. He received a suspended prison sentence totalling six months, suspended for 18 months, with mental health treatment and up to 15 rehabilitation activity days. An interim criminal behaviour order was also imposed restricting his access to various shops.
• Tama Lee, 42, of HMP Isle of Wight – admitted exposure and was jailed for 26 weeks consecutively to an existing sentence. A £154 surcharge was imposed.
• Stephen Vizard, 69, of Scotchells Brook Lane, Lake – admitted speeding through roadworks and was fined £158, ordered to pay £85 costs and a £63 surcharge, and disqualified from driving for six months.
• James McBride, 38, of Chapel Street, Newport – admitted possessing cannabis, which was forfeited and destroyed, and was later found guilty of drug driving. He was fined £500, ordered to pay £650 costs and a £200 surcharge, and banned from driving for 12 months.
• Jack Hannam, 39, of Medstead, Alton – admitted two shop thefts in Ryde. He received a 12-month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay £32.35 compensation and £85 costs.
• Callum Downer, 34, of Medeway, Sandown – admitted failing to provide a specimen for analysis. He was fined £433, ordered to pay £85 costs and a £173 surcharge, and banned from driving for 40 months.
• Cory Daniels, 21, of Broadway Crescent, Binstead – admitted drink driving. He received a community order with 100 hours unpaid work and 10 rehabilitation activity days and was disqualified from driving for 36 months.
• Benjamin Gothard-Smith, 44, of Avenue Road, Freshwater – admitted possessing a kitchen knife in public and was jailed for six months. The knife was confiscated and destroyed.
• Danielle Doyle, 29, of Field View, Ryde – admitted two assaults and two shop thefts. She received a two-year conditional discharge and was ordered to pay £202.95 compensation.
• Stephen Durkin, 44, of Fort Street, Sandown – changed his pleas to guilty to two shop thefts involving spirits. He was ordered to pay £582.75 compensation and £100 costs.
• Chris Davis, 62, of High Street, Ventnor – admitted assault by beating and received a 12-month conditional discharge. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £26 surcharge.
• Joseph Marshall, 46, of Newport Road, Cowes – admitted drink driving. He received a community order with 20 rehabilitation activity days, was fined £80, ordered to pay £85 costs and a £114 surcharge, and was banned from driving for 26 months with the opportunity to reduce the ban by completing a course.
• Steven Kilshaw, 42, of Blackgang Road, Niton – admitted failing to provide a specimen and was also found guilty of drug driving. He received a community order with 20 rehabilitation activity days, was fined £200, ordered to pay £500 costs and was banned from driving for three years.
• Lee French, 48, of Woodmancott Close, Bracknell – admitted drink driving. He was fined £750, ordered to pay £85 costs and a £300 surcharge, and was banned from driving for 36 months, reducible by completing a rehabilitation course.
• Matthew Barton, 40, of Fort Mews, Sandown – was found guilty of driving while disqualified and without insurance. He received a community order with 200 hours unpaid work and 25 rehabilitation activity days and was disqualified from driving for a further three years and 57 days.
• Ashley Kinch, 38, of Newport Road, Sandown – admitted two shop thefts and received a two-year conditional discharge. He was ordered to pay £399.50 compensation.
• Leszek Berezniak, 35, of Fort Street, Sandown – admitted stealing four ready meals. He was fined £80, ordered to pay £13 compensation, £85 costs and a £32 surcharge.
• Kavone-Dre Ellis, 23, of HMP Isle of Wight – admitted assaulting a prison officer and was jailed for four weeks.
• Emmanuel Nwakolo, 30, of HMP Isle of Wight – admitted assaulting a prison officer and received a consecutive 24-week prison sentence together with a £154 surcharge.
• Graeme Salmon, 56, of St Johns Road, Ryde – was found guilty of speeding and was fined £250, ordered to pay £500 costs and a £100 surcharge, and received three penalty points.
• Liam Noonan, 35, of Amherst Mews, Ryde – admitted assault by beating. He received a community order with 15 rehabilitation activity days, was fined £400 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £114 surcharge.
• Tom Engelgardt, 37, of Newport Road, Niton – admitted speeding. He was fined £150, ordered to pay a £60 surcharge and was disqualified from driving for six months.
• Paul Stringer, 48, of High Street, Freshwater – admitted drug driving. He was fined £120, ordered to pay £85 costs and a £48 surcharge, and was banned from driving for 12 months.
• Ann-Marie Court, 38, of Gunville Road, Newport – admitted driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence. Her driving record was endorsed with no separate penalty.
