The Isle of Wight Morris Minor Club is celebrating its 40th anniversary with a free classic car rally at Havenstreet on Sunday 6th September.
The club’s annual rally will once again take place at the Isle of Wight Steam Railway, with hundreds of classic vehicles expected to gather for the milestone event between 10:00 and 16:00.
Owners of all classic cars are invited to take part – not just Morris Minors – and vehicles do not have to be in concours or show condition to be displayed.
Visitors can browse the exhibits, vote for their favourite vehicle and enjoy live entertainment, as well as the sights, sounds and attractions of the working heritage railway.
As part of the celebrations, a raffle will be held throughout the day in aid of local charity Daisy Ring Bus, with all proceeds going towards supporting the Island-based organisation.
Anyone wishing to display a vehicle must be parked on the event field by no later than 09:30. Once the event begins, no vehicle movements will be permitted until it closes at 16:00.
The restriction is in place to comply with the Steam Railway’s health and safety policy, as trains will be running and passengers moving around the site throughout the day.
Entry to both the rally and the display field is free, making it an ideal family day out for classic car enthusiasts and anyone looking to enjoy a day at one of the Isle of Wight’s most popular heritage attractions.
