A car has come to rest on its roof following a crash at Wootton Common Crossroads, where emergency crews are on scene this morning (Wednesday).
Police and paramedics are on scene at Wootton Common Crossroads following the collision which occurred at around 08:30.
At the scene a Toyota Yaris has come to rest on its roof following a collision involving 2 other vehicles.
The driver of the Yaris – believed to be a female – has been helped from the vehicle and is in the care of the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service, who dispatched an Operational Commander to the scene.
Thankfully, Island Echo understands that only minor injuries have been sustained.
Traffic is flowing along Briddlesford Road, Park Road and Station Road with Whiterails Road the only road that is currently closed – from the Butterfly World entrance.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area for the time being whilst the incident is dealt with.
UPDATE @ 09:40 – Recovery of the involved vehicles is expected imminently.
