A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital with a potentially serious injury following a collision with a bus in Merstone this afternoon (Thursday).
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 16:15 following reports of a collision involving a motorcycle and a bus.
The rider of the motorcycle sustained injuries described as potentially serious, although they are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing. They were taken to hospital for treatment.
No injuries were reported among those travelling on the bus.
The incident resulted in disruption while emergency services dealt with the collision, but Merstone Lane has now fully reopened.
