Cowes Classics Day – organised by the Royal London Yacht Club – will be returning to Cowes on Sunday 7th July. Once again, the Club will be welcoming classic car owners from both the Isle of Wight and beyond to display their wonderful and often unique examples of classic motoring on The Parade in the heart of Cowes. Cowes Classics Day doesn’t only celebrate historic cars. There will also be historic and iconic motor vessels and yachts moored at Trinity Landing in front of The Parade, and flypasts and displays by two classic aircraft including a Spitfire. The leader of the Royal London’s organising team for this event, Brian Howard, has said:
“As far we know, Cowes Classics Day is unique – the only event where you can enjoy classic cars, boats and planes all in one place and at no cost. “Nearly 1,000 people visited Cowes Classics Day last year, and we expect to exceed that number this year.” Vintage Rolls Royce
Visitors will be able to vote for their favourite car and boat, with an awards ceremony at 16:30. There will also be a food and drink stall on the Parade, live music to recall the era of classic cars, the Isle of Wight’s own Chitty-Chitty-Bang-Bang replica in the morning, and other attractions for all ages. Celebrating its 16th year, Cowes Classics Week is the world’s leading regatta for classic yacht racing – over 150 yachts racing from 8th to 12th July, with spectacular racing around the Solent. Vintage Aston Martin David Gower, Chair of Cowes Classics Week on behalf of the Royal London Yacht Club, is expecting an even more spectacular event in 2024 and has commented:

“As a classic car enthusiast, I thought that classic and interesting cars would be a wonderful addition to Cowes Classics Week, already the second biggest annual yachting event in Cowes. “Cowes Classics Day has exceeded expectations, and this year’s event should attract more cars, boats and planes and, importantly, provide a great day out for even more people”.
Red Funnel, Cowes Classics Day partner, have confirmed that they will be offering reduced-price day return fares for 7th July for both Redjet and Red Funnel foot passengers.
Why reduced fares for these comfortably off folk?!! How about refunds for all the regular RF customer’s that are constantly shafted by RF?!!
