Dover Park Primary School recently hosted an exhilarating Science Day, dedicated to exploring sustainability and our interconnected world. This immersive experience – held during an event on Tuesday 19th March – allowed the entire school to delve into the wonders of scientific investigation, sparking curiosity and igniting a passion for understanding the world around them. From the youngest reception pupils to the confident year 6 pupils, every child participated in a day filled with captivating experiments and thought-provoking activities. The enthusiasm and engagement displayed by the students were truly awe-inspiring, as they showcased their remarkable knowledge and understanding of scientific concepts. Through various hands-on experiments and interactive sessions, the students explored topics such as renewable energy, recycling, and the impact of human activities on our planet. One of the notable initiatives that emerged from the Science Day is the monthly litter picking campaign started by the school council. Recognising the significance of keeping our local community clean and tidy, Dover Park Primary School is determined to make a positive difference. The children, together with their teachers and staff members, will actively participate in regular litter picking sessions, ensuring that our surroundings remain pristine and welcoming for everyone.
