All 3 Wight Eagles sides – the U12s, U14s and U16s teams – won last weekend.
HEADLEY YOUTH U12 0-5 WIGHT EAGLES U12
The Academy U12s were slow to start in the 1st half but soon got up to speed to maintain their unbeaten run with a brace by goal machine Evlynn Harvey.
The 2nd half started with the Eagles again putting the pressure on and keeping the ball, as they played the ball up to Evlynn Harvey to seal her hat-trick. The Island side kept pushing for more goals to seal the game, and they finished it off with great goals from Libby Kirby and Rubi Alexander.

CHINEHAM U14 1-13 WIGHT EAGLES U14
The U14s Eagles travelled away to Chineham Tigers in the Hampshire cup.
The Eagles started the game by scoring within the first 3 minutes with Imogen Jones playing a lovely ball over the top for Kelsie Ronan to run on to and send it home.
The girls pushed on and piled on the pressure and to go 5-0 up in the first 12 minutes. By half time, the girls had an 8-0 lead.
In the 2nd half, Wight Eagles were solid at the back and controlled the whole game, scoring a further 5 goals

After the game, manager Scott Ronan said:
“I really can’t believe today the girls were untouchable, they played out of there skin and were non stop. We came away thinking we really had to play well to complete with Chineham – who are not a walkover – but the girls really wiped the floor with them. The way they played today, I reckon they would of Beaten Arsenal .
“I’m so proud of them and also have to give credit to Jay Morris at Assassins gym for getting their fitness to the level it is.”
WIGHT EAGLES U16 6-3 HAWKS U16
The oldest of the Academy sides welcomed Havant & Waterlooville Hawks to Brighstone.
The Eagles started brightly, keeping the ball well and making the Hawks work hard to close them down. The islanders broke the deadlock in the 20th min with a fantastic goal by Captain Dani Robinson (1-0).
On the restart, the Hawks gave the ball away with some sloppy play and the ball was quickly picked up on the touch line by Liv Burt, giving the island side a quick throw into the path of Sophie Lewis, to slot the ball through to Dani Robinson for her 2nd (2-0).

In the 2nd half, Tawnie Siddall had a few chances saved by the Hawks Keeper. 15 minutes into the 2nd half, the ball broke for Dani Robinson to seal her hat-trick (3-0).
The Eagles presses on and soon added a 4th with Tawnie Siddall finding the net (4-0).
In the next 10 mins, Wight Eagles sat back a relaxed to give the Hawks a chance to make a comeback with 2 quick-fire chances that beat keeper Lizzie Dodds in the Eagles goal (4-2}.
With 10 mins left to play, Liv Burt made a solo run through 3 players to smash the ball home in the top corner to stretch the lead (5-2).
Captain Dani Robinson then finished the game off in style (6-2). A last minute penalty wa given to the away side for the game to finish 6-3.

After the game, manager Dan Verstraeten said:
“The girls played outstandingly today and really used the ball to the max; they never lost it and kept on pressing the play down.
“We changed our formation as we knew Hawks were strong in midfield, but we also showed a lot of character and strength.
“I want to give a shout out to my Captain Dani Robinson who has been selected by the FA for a Trial on the FA Talent Pathway in Dorset in November.
“She really deserves it, and myself and the rest of the team wish her all the best as we all believe she can make it as a pro.”
