Producers of BBC One’s nationwide cookery competition, Britain’s Best Home Cook, are searching high and low across the Isle of Wight for potential participants for the second series of the show.
The queen of home cookery, Mary Berry, is set to return with top chef Dan Doherty and produce expert, Chris Bavin, to judge more of the nation’s best home cooks in the hunt to crown one of them the winner. Claudia Winkleman also returns as presenter as the contestants create dishes celebrating modern British home cooking in all its variety.
The 8-part series will see cooks showcase recipes that have been passed down through generations and that they share with family and friends every day. Can you impress judges with your culinary creations?
Contestants will hope to follow in the footsteps of Pippa Middlehurst, who won the competition with a winning menu of Massaman curry with jasmine rice, grilled prawns and a Thai herb salad, followed by a Mary Berry inspired Mango and Raspberry cake. Her dishes inspired by her grandmother and grandfather who introduced her to Asian cuisine at an early age.
