Manager Dan Verstraten said:
“This was a good result for us having been let down last week by the opposition and the girls are still in the fight for the league with a game in hand. They really excelled today and got what they deserved.”
MEON MILTON 3 – 2 WIGHT EAGLES U13s
The younger Eagles travelled away to face a tough and tricky Meon Milton side. The girls had beaten them 3-0 in the cup. However, this game was a different story.
Kelsie Ronan, who is in fantastic form for the Eagles this season, put the Eagles into an early lead. The Island side grew in confidence towards halftime, with Kelsie grabbing her brace.
Meon Milton took the Eagles by surprise in the 2nd half, scoring 3 goals. The Islanders had chances to seal the game, but unfortunately the passing wasn’t accurate enough.
Manager Scott Ronan said:
“The girls tried to seal the game early today and got complacent through the match and thought it was an easy win, as they had previously beaten them. We got a wakeup call, and the girls are willing to fight back next week.”
