A 14-year-old boy and a 47-year-old woman are still being quizzed by detectives following the fatal stabbing of a man in his 50s in Sandown.
The teenager and the female were arrested on suspicion of murder after emergency services were called to a property at Downsview, off Perowne Way, shortly before 19:00 on Thursday evening.
It was discovered that a male, aged in his 50s, had been stabbed. He was later pronounced dead at hospital, despite the best efforts made to save his life.
Specialist detectives and forensic investigators have remained at the scene as enquiries continue into the circumstances surrounding the death.
Police have this evening (Saturday) confirmed that the pair remain in custody after further warrants of detention were granted earlier today.
