3 Church Of England parishes are combining for an evening to generate desperately needed funds for their churches.
All Saints Church in Ryde, Holy Cross Church in Binstead and St Peter’s Church in Havenstreet will unite to share the organisation of a concert to be given by The Phoenix Choir.
Chuches have suffered financially in the past few years, particularly during the pandemic, and a concerted effort is needed to replenish the coffers for future projects.
The Phoenix Choir will be performing in All Saints Church, Ryde, in aid of the 3 churches. They hope you will support the evening which will include a raffle and interval refreshments.
The mixed choir will again be singing a variety of songs from musicals and films including ‘Cats’, ‘Chess’, ‘Les Misérables’, ‘Aspects Of Love’, ‘The Lion King’ and others together with pieces from other genres.
The concert will take place on Saturday 5th August at 19:30.
Admission is free with a retiring collection.

If, as the link above shows, the Church of England makes 1 Billion a year , why take money out of the common peoples pockets via fundraising?
Ask Welby for some of the millions ‘he’ seems to have available for slavery reparation
All Saints’ lost a visionary priest and gained a disastrous one who alienated the parishioners who actually paid up: the older generation. The younger generation evaporated.
This church is a shadow now. A ghost. The choir vestry – home to generations of music makers – is a playschool.
