UPDATED: Concerns are growing for the welfare of 17-year-old Charlie Marshall from East Cowes, who hasn’t been seen since last night (Friday) and is said to be in a distressed state.
Charlie was last seen by his parents at 21:25 near to the ‘Osborne School’ in East Cowes. Police have been searching in and around the area overnight.
The teenager also went missing earlier this week and on Tuesday afternoon Police requested WightSAR, the Island’s volunteer search and rescue team, to be placed on standby. Thankfully, Charlie was found just a few hours later.
Charlie is described as white, 5ft 10ins tall and of very slim build. He has short brown hair which is longer on top and was last seen wearing a brown top, jeans and a blue zip up jacket.
Inspector Adam Henderson-Parish, said:
“We’re growing increasingly concerned fro Charlie’s welfare. If you think you’ve seen him or if you have any information about his whereabouts please get in touch.
“Charlie, if you’re reading this, please get in touch with us or your family. We’re worried about you and just want to know that you’re ok.”
Anyone who spots Charlie or knows his whereabouts should contact police on 101. In an emergency dial 999.
UPDATE @ 12:15 – WightSAR have been deployed to assist Police in the search for Charlie.
UPDATE @ 13:45 – The National Police Air Service helicopter from Bournemouth has been tasked to assist in today’s search whilst carrying out operational photography of the Isle of Wight Festival site.
UPDATE @ 15:50 – Charlie Marshall has been found and well this afternoon, according to his family and friends.
