Police are very concerned for the welfare of an 8-year-old boy who has gone missing from Pan estate in Newport this afternoon (Sunday).
The youngster was last seen at approximately 15:20 this afternoon (20th November) on the Furrlongs in Newport.
Police and George’s family, are very concerned for his welfare, and are asking anyone who has seen him to get in touch with them
He is described as:
• White
• 4ft tall
• Slim build
• Mousey brown hair which is short on top
Police believe that George is likely to be wearing grey jogging bottoms and a grey hoody with a Ben Sherman logo on it.
Anyone that has seen George, or has information about his whereabouts that they believe could assist our enquiries, is asked to contact us on 101, quoting 44220471552.

UPDATE @ 18:15 – Wight SAR – who were assisting the Police in their search – have confirmed that George has been found.
Island Echo understands that George was located by search teams up a tree.
