Young talented athlete Noah Patey, who competes in the 3000m steeplechase, has recently secured his place to represent the Isle of Wight in the 2023 NatWest International Island Games in Guernsey.
Noah has attended the Isle of Wight Athletic Club with his twin brother, Jacob, since primary school age and has competed in numerous ParkRuns, Wessex League and Cross-Country events, favouring the longer distances.
Noah has shown dedication throughout his years at the club under the excellent coaching staff and has recently concentrated on the steeplechase discipline, gaining Hampshire Champion and Hampshire Schools Champion accolades.
Noah’s Mum and Dad – Vida and Sam – are looking for any financial assistance in helping Noah to join his twin brother Jacob at the Games and express their gratitude to those that have donated already.
A GoFundMe page has been set up for any donations here.

The guy wants to, and has been selected to, represent the Island and the UK. He shouldn’t have to beg to do that.
Where is your sense of national and local pride?
But that what he is doing, begging. Surely sports charities would sponsor such if talented.
I see the posters point of view, people here are struggling now, so there should be plenty of sports charities, grants etc to fund talent not us.
That Gary Liniker would do better getting aid for British sports rather than keep banging on about the illegal arrivals taking our homes and burdening the health service, maternity service and prison service with extra to cope with.
Oh, such a charitable bunch!
You pay, or, like most protecting the underdog, you are happy so long as ‘others’ fund them.
