The Pepperpot Players have been given an award for dramatic excellence by the National Operatic and Dramatic Association (NODA) for their production of ‘Agatha Crusty and the Village Hall Murders’.
As previously reported by Island Echo, the play was initially staged in Niton Village Hall last year to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Pepperpot Players before breaking audience records for a play at Shanklin Theatre later that year.
Written by Derek Webb, the production was honoured by NODA for dramatic excellence and director Lorna Wilson travelled to the ceremony in Guildford to receive the award.
Lorna will also be directing their next murder mystery comedy, ‘Murdered to Death’, at Shanklin Theatre from 28th-30th August. Tickets are available here.
