This is your weekly round-up of some of the latest court cases heard at the Isle of Wight Magistrates Court.

• Nino Cavanagh, 33, of Trinity Road, Ventnor – admitted stealing two bottles of wine worth £10.90 from the Co-op in Ventnor. Ordered to pay £10.90 compensation. No costs were awarded due to lack of means.
• Jonathan Troy, 58, of Victoria Avenue, Shanklin – admitted making indecent images of children, including 9 Category A and 121 Category C images. He was sentenced to 10 months’ imprisonment, suspended for 18 months, with up to 20 rehabilitation activity days, ordered to pay £85 costs and a £187 surcharge, placed on the Sex Offenders Register for 10 years and made subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order lasting until July 2031.
• Chloe Phillips, 27, of Cranmore Avenue, Yarmouth – admitted driving with cocaine in her system and speeding in Surrey. She was made subject to a 12-month community order with 110 hours of unpaid work, disqualified from driving for 20 months, and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £114 surcharge. The speeding offence received no separate penalty.
• Benjamin Entwistle, 38, of Westlake Avenue, Sandown – was sentenced for driving with cocaine, cannabis and a cocaine metabolite in his system, being in charge of a vehicle while over the cannabis drug-drive limit, using a vehicle without insurance and criminal damage. He received a community order until January 2028 with a 26-day programme and up to 35 rehabilitation activity days, was disqualified from driving for three years for the drug-driving offences and 12 months for the separate offence of being in charge of a vehicle while over the limit, while the insurance offence received no separate penalty. He was also ordered to pay £650 costs and £36 compensation after being found guilty of criminal damage.
• Brandon Atkins, 26, of Lavender Way, Newport – admitted stealing food and drink from Pan Stores as well nas 4 bottles of AU Vodka worth £180 from Central Stores. The Pan Stores offence received no separate penalty. He was ordered to pay £180 compensation for the Central Stores theft.
• Stephen Berry, 37, of Malcolm Dyer Court, Newport – was found guilty of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and interfering with a vehicle in a manner dangerous to road users, and also admitted criminal damage. He received a 36-week prison sentence suspended for 18 months, with a 12-week concurrent suspended sentence for the vehicle offence, 12 months of mental health treatment, up to 20 rehabilitation activity days and a restraining order preventing contact with the victim and entry to Furrlongs until January 2028. He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and £75 compensation for criminal damage.
• Gary Dauncey, 55, of no fixed abode, Hampshire – admitted a series of shop thefts and attempted shop thefts involving Morrisons, Boots, Capital Jewellers, Specsavers and Sports Direct. He was sentenced to 16 weeks’ immediate imprisonment for all offences, to run concurrently, and ordered to pay compensation totalling £1,144.
• Kellie Earnshaw, 41, of Clive Green, Bracknell – admitted drink-driving but avoided disqualification after magistrates accepted special reasons because she had driven a short distance to escape domestic violence. She was fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £48 surcharge.
• Christopher Allen, 54, of Nelson Street, Ryde – admitted using threatening or abusive behaviour causing harassment, alarm or distress. He was fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs.
• Faisal Konde, 58, of Cippenham Lane, Slough – admitted drink-driving at Wootton Bridge. He was fined £530, disqualified from driving for 12 months, reducible by 3 months on completion of a drink-drive course, and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £212 surcharge.
• Francis Fuller, 22, of Whitecross Avenue, Shanklin – admitted driving with cannabis over the legal limit. He was fined £120, disqualified from driving for 12 months and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £48 surcharge.
• Bradley Bullock, 29, of HMP Isle of Wight, Newport – admitted assaulting another prisoner. He was sentenced to 18 weeks’ imprisonment to run consecutively to his existing sentence and ordered to pay a £154 surcharge.
• Bailey Smith, 26, of no fixed abode, Hampshire – admitted breaching a restraining order by entering the Co-op in Ventnor. He was fined £162 and ordered to pay £100 costs.
• Danny Stretch, 35, of Leigh Road, Eastleigh – admitted stealing 2 sandwiches and a crate of Bud Light beer from Londis in Newport. He was ordered to pay £1.92 compensation.
• Levi Bellamy, 27, of Fort Street, Sandown – admitted possessing cannabis. He was fined £80, ordered to pay £85 costs and the cannabis was ordered to be forfeited and destroyed.
